I have noticed a few friends in the business have already pull casino links or taken sites down. Many are selling out or considering. I am still on the fence with this one. I agree with dhayman that it looks as if US affiliates are at great risk. Before leaving on our trip I basicly had come to the conclusion that it is diffenately not safe to be in this business as an US affiliate. It seems the risk/rewards aspect is dimenishing day by day. Wagershare along with others have pulled completely from the US market. Others have pulled from 11 US states with about 25% of the population. I must say I am feeling very uneasy about keeping my sites up and running. For those in the business that are not US citizens you do not have to worry as much over the legal issue of this new law. We are all seeing revenue drop and again I am wondering if it’s going to get worst soon. Nobody wants to risk going to jail for a dying business. Even if revenues are still relately good is it worth risking jail time? I don’t think any gaming attorney is going to advise a US affiliate to go ahead and continue marketing online casinos. The law clearly states it’s self on this issue. It seems though many US affiliates including me are in denial.

Although the US is/was clearly the biggest consumer of online gambling services, take heart in the fact that much of the rest of the world is still growing – and also speaks English You may have to tighten belts but I wouldn’t be throwing in the towel too quickly…

There are a number of UK and European affiliates here who you could potentially work with on an interim basis to take the heat off until the US gets it’s act together. The PLC’s are working on a solution that might provide some ideas for US affiliates too!
Captain: Offtopic, but is that you in one of the little photos (4th set I think) that flies in on http://www.g3partner.com/ ??

Thanks to all for the advice. I still believe the wise choice for myself is to sell all my gambling sites. Even CM is pulling online casinos that still accept US players. I do think it’s time to move on. Simmo that is Torry (DVS007) and I in the picture taken at CAP Springbreak 2006. Goodluck to everyone here. -
