Before you guys geotarget think about this

I’m pretty new to the site & am looking to get more info about the Casino affiliate programs for Japan. I noticed there’s a lot of recent turmoil over what might happen in the US.

I have a pretty good background in International SEO

Before you think about Geotargetting

Depending on the way you do it, I’d like to just point out things you have to think about.

1. I believe you will try to filter & redirect all US traffic
2. Google, Yahoo, & MSN even though they have various sites worldwide
Most of their datacenters for even the global sites are actually
Yep you guessed it, in the US.

When you redirect US traffic you will also redirect the same Search Engine crawlers that the SEs use for the international versions.

If you go this route plan ahead or consult an SEO consultant in the country you want to target.
