I’m amazed noone has posted this yet. The bill is now the law of the land.

That’s the Fence Bill. Not the same as the Port Bill – though I bet it’s just a matter of time now.
October 4, 2006 at 6:54 pm #709673AnonymousInactiveSorry for the false alarm.
None of the news stories do a good job of identifying which bill is which.Another interesting note: I believe, since Congress is no longer in session, that a bill that remains unsigned for 10 days by the President is dead. That’s the “pocket veto”. Yeah, I know, very unlikely.
October 4, 2006 at 6:57 pm #709675AnonymousInactiveWell, we could pray that this happens…

LMAO, that is hilarious!
October 4, 2006 at 7:28 pm #709685AnonymousInactiveYeah baby, let’s put up hundreds of miles of fence with hundred mile gaps in between… that makes sense.
I’m guessing that he would sign the bill while at the Port of Los Angeles. It will be interesting to see if Bush adds a signing statement to the bill regarding the legality of internet casinos/poker.
October 4, 2006 at 8:02 pm #709707vladcizsolMemberNope W couldnt have signed because he is still out west trying to help his fellow Facists raise money to buy more “elections”. He is due back in DC late tonight.
If you want to follow where Jackass1 is you can track him here:

The Dufus is most likely in the air between Scottsdale and Colorado right at this moment. I am hoping for wild and unexpected air turbulence to give him a nice tum tum ache!
October 4, 2006 at 8:10 pm #709710AnonymousInactiveI hear he’s raised like 180 million for them to.
Next time he’s plugging making the tax cuts permanent and he says “No one knows how to better spend your money than you do”.
Keep in mind that it really means as long as you spend it the way the GOP dictates.
October 4, 2006 at 8:32 pm #709717AnonymousInactiveWhat’s he doing signing bills? He should be busy for a few days.

I live in Texas, but Bush is one major asshat, and I’m not even referring to the legislation contained within the Safe Port Act. I could talk for days, but I need to go find a job (maybe a supervisor job that is exempt from the overtime pay provisions of the fair labor act… oh crap, here I go again)
Remember to vote in November and, unlike six years ago, the person who gets the most votes will win…:omg:
October 5, 2006 at 3:48 am #709846AnonymousInactiveIts been what 4-5 days already?

What ever holiday replaced Columbus Day or something like that. If it’s 10 business days and a holiday to boot it’s going to be a long, long week (as in 7 full days).:drunk2:
