Greetings!
We all have seen posts with doubts concerning negative carry over issues, so let’s try to compile that information for all CAP certified programs, in an easy place for everyone to see.
The “Negative carry over thread” links to each reply. This will take a while, but it’s time well spent. I like organized information.
This way we will easily see which programs understand negative balances as advertising costs, and don’t carry over.Questions:
1) Do you carry over negative balance?
2) Is the winning player removed from the account?
3) The webmaster has to request a non negative carry over agreement?
4) Any restriction?
Thank you for your reply!
November 15, 2006 at 2:50 am #715738AnonymousInactiveI was looking at the Intertops site tonight, and I found this.
Intertops.com will credit the Affiliate referral commissions on a weekly basis, earned by him/her in the previous week, by the Wednesday of each week. All payments will be due and paid into the Affiliate Partners Intertops.com account every 4 weeks. If the account is in a negative position (e.g. because customer winnings have exceeded customer losses) the negative position will be carried over until the following week. The Affiliate will only receive a payout when there is a positive balance.
I guess that answers question #1. Not sure about the rest.
Interesting — Intertops is the only MGS program that accepts players from all 50 states, and they are also the only MGS program to carry over negative balances. (Well, there is another group that does something with negative balances on a case by case basis: Wager Share. If a player wins more than $10,000, Wager Share carries over the negative on that player only.)
December 27, 2006 at 4:07 pm #720081AnonymousInactiveI think I can forget about my Intertops account – have a player who won last week over 300k
January 6, 2007 at 11:30 am #721199AnonymousInactivemaybe he’ll lose it back
can we see a screenshot?January 6, 2007 at 1:37 pm #721207AnonymousInactiveit’s very hard to lose $340 000 (you need to play non stop for weeks) – he/she has lost last week over 35k, BUT my commission is only 20% from those 35k (and not 30%).

With the introduction of the new affiliate program we have changed our rules and have abandoned the negative carry over.
9. Intertops.com will pay referral commissions monthly by credit to your Intertops account of any commission earned by you in the month. If the account is in a negative position (e.g. because customer winnings have exceeded customer losses) this negative position will NOT be carried over until the following month.
Should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Are you back to carrying over negatives or what?
March 5, 2008 at 9:21 am #762549AnonymousInactiveHi there,
no, Intertops does not have negative carry over. Please look at the current terms and conditions here:
http://affiliate.intertops.com/terms_and_conditions.aspPlease let me know, if you require any further information.
March 5, 2008 at 2:35 pm #762570AnonymousInactiveWe (AffiliateGuardDog.com) made mention of their terms change not so long ago. For the specific terms changes for Intertops – check them out:
Intertops – Negative Carryover Terms Change
You can either wade through all of their terms changes or look at the one you were talking about directly

When I originally posted that on 11-14-2006, it was true. But now, they are blocking the 11 restricted states.
It was nice while it lasted! :plain:

No, we can’t. These are the rules for the old Intertops Affiliate Program. And there are affiliates using this program.
