Just found a site that is an exact copy of one of my sites!
The pathetic stupid bitch didn’t even have enough sense to change all of the affiliate links before uploading the site to her server. :banger:
She is evidently in the process of changing the links .. about 50% of them have been changed .. the other 50% are still my links.
Is anyone aware of an attorney who deals with Internet stuff .. theft, etc. ?
I HATE thieves .. and lazy people who refuse to do their own work!
I’m sick and tired of the Bill Gates Syndrome. What the Hell makes people think they can just slide by in life by stealing whatever they need from others .. rather than actually do any work of their own. ? ?
This twit is not going to get away with this .. If I can’t find an attorney to deal with her I’ll fly down to Houston and take care of her myself! :stirpot:

September 13, 2006 at 11:17 pm #705922AnonymousInactiveThanks Krystall,
I fired off an e-mail to all the people she is affiliating with, as well as one to her ISP, letting everyone know what a scum sucking pig she is!
I took pictures of all her (my) web pages.
I have a HOT temper and I’m not good at being tactful when I’m thoroughly pissed!
Guess I’ll send her an e-mail and tell her exactly what I think of her :cuss:
politically INcorrect language and all!!!! :cuss:If she doesn’t take the site down I will definitely contact the attorney and have him deal with her.
Thanks Again !
September 14, 2006 at 1:48 pm #705993AnonymousInactiveStarted snooping around and found some good articles on the subject …
If you have dealt with this in the past you probably already know how to proceed. :hitthefan
For those who have not had to deal with this problem yet, it is only a matter of time, so here is one of the better articles I ran across …

September 14, 2006 at 3:03 pm #706013AnonymousInactiveGreek,
Thank you so much for your offer to help.
I sent an e-mail to the Bimbo last night. I was NOT in the best of moods when I wrote it, so the e-mail was NOT terribly professional sounding …. But, then again it was probably better than flying down to Houston and ripping her hair out ..
Here is what I sent in case anyone else wants to use my somewhat nasty approach:
_______________________________________________I DON’T KNOW WHO YOU THINK YOU ARE YOU IGNORANT MORON!
FURTHERMORE, I DON’T KNOW WHO YOU THINK YOU’RE DEALING WITH.
CAN YOU SAY COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT ? ?
I HOPE YOU ARE MAKING A LOT OF MONEY FROM YOUR AFFILIATE PROGRAMS. YOU ARE GOING TO NEED IT FOR ATTORNEY’S FEES .. AND TO PAY US THE DAMAGES WE WILL BE SUING YOU FOR !
This is to advise you that the website you have stolen is protected by United States Copyright Laws.
Do you have any clue what a United States Copyright is? Do you know that Copyright Infringement is a Federal offense? The site design and content at xxx.com is original content. I am the author and copyright holder. The website has a Copyright notice clearly stated at the bottom of each page.
I see the Copyright notice at the bottom of your site .. nice try .. are you the dumbest person on the planet or what? You cannot Copyright something that belongs to someone else!
We have been involved in affiliate marketing since 1998. The particular site you have chosen to steal has been online for two and a half years, as you could easily have verified in the Internet Archives, if you had half a brain.
In total, we have 183 websites. Maybe you would like us to send you links to all 183 of them so you can have an instant collection of websites without having to actually sit in front of your computer 16 hours a day, 7 days a week creating your own designs and content.
Just because information is on the Internet does not mean it’s “free” to take and/or to steal. It is free to read, and to look at .. it is NOT free to steal, or use it as your own.
Information, designs, etc. (including website designs and content) are protected under United States Copyright laws and are known as intellectual property. But then, I am quite sure “INTELLECTUAL” is not a word you are familiar with!
What you have done is against the law! Do you see any reason that we should not prosecute for your outright and intentional theft of our property?
You are hereby given notice to Cease and Desist immediately!
Use of Copyright protected material without permission is illegal under United States Copyright laws.
You must take the following actions immediately:
1) Remove the stolen property from your site at xxx.com
2) Re-design your website with original design and content, including the writing of your own Titles and Descriptions
3) Provide compensation of $500.00 USD for the illegal use of our Copyright protected material. For convenience, this may be paid via PayPal to the e-mail address herein.
I expect the plagiarized material to be removed immediately!
Pictures and copies of your website .. including copies of the source code have been forwarded to our attorneys.
I expect a response and complete resolution to this matter within 5 days to prevent further legal action.
Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.

I’ll keep in touch and let everyone know how things progress with the pond scum in Houston.
. . .September 14, 2006 at 3:16 pm #706017AnonymousInactiveWow a pretty damming letter, I would be pissed off as well. I think what these people fear most is technical abilities. In most cases some covert activities usually does the trick. Be careful because this person may have the technicle expertise to cause further damage.
Sending an email is a good idea but I normally don’t send them from my server account. Never know they just might submitt an email spam report to your server. But in any case if this person does not cooperate PM me with the offending link.

September 14, 2006 at 3:53 pm #706030AnonymousInactiveThanks once again for the good advice.
However, I really don’t think an intelligent person would be so ignorant as to hijack a website.
I think most of these people are basically pretty stupid .. and have no creative abilities .. or are newbies who have not created their own website before, so they’re not sure where to begin.
Stealing a ready-made site and just exchanging out the links sounds a whole lot easier.
Anyone who has created their own website from scratch realizes how much work is involved. After having done that, I think they tend to have a little more respect for other webmasters.
But, it is true .. a lot of people have the technical expertise, but have no sense at all in other areas. This is confirmed every time I have to deal with one of the nitwits who work for one of my web hosts!
It amazes me how these people can know sooo much about ONE subject .. and have absolutely NO common sense .. or know anything at all about anything else except computers.
(Actually, it’s pretty pathetic!)
