How often is too often? I guess this is where my SEO inexperience is getting the best of me. If I update my home page with different content once a week how will that affect my rankings for certain keyword phrases if content is changing so often. I noticed this morning that I had a page 1 listing on google for a keyword phrase that I did’nt target but last night I updated the home page and removed that content. Now that I know I have a page 1 listing do I add that content back to my index page? I doubt that it is a phrase that is often search(cant think of the tool that tells me how many searchs a keyword had..overture??) Anyway, I hope this post makes sense.
July 2, 2006 at 7:08 pm #697343AnonymousInactiveThere is a recent thread some place else here about this.
People are totally disagreeing on it, so your guess is as good as any.
I change mine a lot, almost daily, and I do well.
Others who also do well say that one should never touch it once it ranks well.
So, take your pick. :hehe:

In my case I make changes often but trying to keep the above similar.July 3, 2006 at 1:10 pm #697374AnonymousInactiveSections of my homepage change near daily and i’m always adding new articles to my site.
July 3, 2006 at 1:40 pm #697379AnonymousInactiveMaybe google has gotten smart enough to check whether changes in title/keywords etc go hand in hand with actual content changes or not.
I change whatever I want depending on what goes on with the site, but I rarely just tweak optimisation. It only gets tweaked when I also make content changes.
