Well first off, I’m new to the sportbook industry myself so don’t even bother asking me about lines, who I like in whatever game etc.

I have been successfully running affiliate programs for 4 years now and have had online marketing experience in numerous industries.

Got a question about getting traffic, converting traffic, or just general questions on how to make money on the internet, I will do my best to lend a hand.

    So, fire away :drunk2:

    Hi DaveP,

Your offer of expert advice sounds great, but I gotta ask, why?

I’ve coached people on “making money on the internet”, but it was always for a price or percentage of what they earn.

If you are offering this advice for free then good for you, but I still have to ask – “Why?”

Well that’s an easy one to answer :)

First of all, I personally feel that the more knowledgeable affiliates are the more business we ALL do. Secondly, it’s my job as an affiliate manager to help affiliates. I’m not ashamed to say that i hope any help I provide does lead to a new affiliate to my program, but it certainly isn’t mandatory :) I haven’t forgotten what it’s like to have to learn the ropes and believe me, a little experience can help a lot when setting up a new site.

You’re a senior member here, you know that there are two ways to make money on the internet: innovation or copying someone else. I’m hoping that giving a little advice here will save drama down the road.

The offer is genuine, so if anyone has a question, fire away :)

casinowahine – anytime you’re ready ask away!

    Dave,

    I’m not moderator … but …

I’m gonna guess that your footer contained an affiliate link to a commercial site or product ?

So the content was good – but the footer was bad ?

What I saw, and please correct me if I am wrong:

    You are an affiliate manager.

You promote your program in your signature.

    You label yourself spam there.

You do not have a forum at CAP and are not certified.

You came in and left a bunch of posts.

I decided to move this one because it is aimed at pulling affiliates into your program.

Nope, you are correct, well sort of anyway. My signature was a joke, and as for the CAP forum, hopefully we’ll get one soon (program just launched, I am filling out the request form for certification now.

Usually when I think of spam, I think of the content of a message… maybe I am wrong, but this was supposed to be a useful post for new webmasters, not pimp my program. It was posted in the correct forum, so I guess it is the signature that’s causing the misunderstanding.

No hard feelings, I just think you are wrong is all – especially when there is an option for people to turn off sigs (if that is indeed where the spammyness originated). I guess i will have to read that post about posting on this board after all :banger:

Case closed. No questions were asked and since it is spam I retract my offer.
