It looks like the casinocontroller.com domain is down or something, which is where the banners and the software download is hosted. I can’t promote your site if people get a 404 when they try to sign up. Anyone else having problems? I was having this problem last week too. You might want to look into some sort of a more reliable host for this critical server if the problem is on your end.

April 26, 2006 at 5:49 am #690064AnonymousInactiveIt looks like it is back up now. I know you guys are still new, but it is hard to get people to play and trust my recommendations if they get a 404 on the banner and the download. Hopefully the kinks are worked out now and we won’t see this particular issue again.
On the plus side, I had my first player with you guys and already have some earnings!

Thanks for the heads up on this. I ran this problem by our technical team and they’ve suggested that a 404 error usually happens on the “client” side – this could either be a misspelled URL or a request page which is no longer there.
Having said that, we haven’t had any other reports of a 404 error when trying to access the casino controller. If it were server related, you would most likely see a 5XX error of some sort.
In any event, this is certainly not something I’ll dismiss as a client-side problem alone. I’ll continue to monitor the situation to make sure nobody else is having the same problem. On that note, if you do happen to see the error again … perhaps you could write down the time and day it happen in order to help us trace it back.
Thanks again for the heads up CB and keep me posted.
