Site started on 4/9/6, moved from Frontpage to Dreamweaver, 38 pages of content created, already had 1 logo change, many bug fixes, a bunch of link exchanges, a community created and a complete rewrite to nested tables and finally got my first CPA!
    :shots:
$100 for one yesterday from a site that has gotten a lot of bad press recently (ahem Greek!). Just had to share. My first couple of weeks has been beyond my expectations. I am even on the plus side at a couple of rev shares so it looks like I will show a profit from month 1!

Thanks everyone for their advice on my site review earlier. I have MSN and yahoo crawling my site. Google hasn’t crawled it yet, but I am showing up when you type in my domain name on other sites, so it should just be a matter of time until I get crawled. I still need to do a bunch of SEO before that happens.

I gotta say this is fun so far, but I can tell I will have a problem with obsessing over my visitors page crawling habits. I did the trial of opentracker.net and may have to purchase it when the trial ends. So much detail!

    Anyhow, thanks for everything,

Nice, a site that instructs players to abuse bonuses. :omg:

Congrats on your first check, but I have to say your account at that ahem program will probably be closed soon since your site seeks to atract bonus whores. You can also expect plenty of fraud/closed revshare accounts at other programs too.

I agree.. .But at least you are supplementing it with rev-share. Smart move.

I actually have been surprised so far. From my stats at several sites, it looks like some people are following my advice and winning, but a decent percentage are either overbetting, or not following correct strategy or who knows what and losing. My break down right now is maybe 2 programs CPA, and 8 programs rev share. I guess time will tell, but I think the casinos (and me) will end up making money in spite of my advice due to some player’s bad habits.

My guess is the casinos are making net revenue, I don’t think they would care if I told people how to find a money tree at their site. Have you guys experienced something different?

With CPA it makes sense for the sites to close non producing accounts, but with Rev Share I don’t see why they would.

In any case, thanks for the advice and I will come back here whining when I get my first CPA closure. :laughcry:

I checked it out assuming it is extremetracking.com. I have some free tracking provided by my host that is similar to what they provide. The unique things about opentracker are the ability to see when people are on your site in real time, and more importantly, seeing a “clickstream” of which pages they went to in what order, and how long they stayed on that page. If I see people going to a certain page, but never staying for more than 10 seconds, then I know I need to work on that page with either more content or a better heading to catch their attention.

Again, I am not sure this is worth the 19.99 a month or whatever they charge, but as a new webmaster, I am fascinated by it. I could see how when you get 1K uniques a day the aggregate reporting is more useful.

Which “ahem” program is he referring to? I’m out of the loop :unhappy:

He asked for some advise on his site. His url extensions were fouled, since then they have been fixed and now generating some income with CPA. I think he meant to say amen. CPA is never a good thing in my opinion.

Do feel left out of the loop! greek39

Sorry for the late reply, I have been out of town for a week.

I meant ahem since the site was 888.com, which at the time of this original post was being investigated by Greek39. It has since been blacklisted due to shady business practices so hopefully I will get paid on it. We will see.

I agree that long term Rev Share is a smarter plan, but I think depending on your target audience, there is room for both for different reasons.
