I read somewhere that Google and Yahoo were no longer accepting casino and gambling related websites. Is this true?

I can see in my stats that Google visits my pages everyday, but I am still not listed with them. I can’t find my site listed at all for either search engine and it’s been a month that the site has been out there. I submitted manually to Google and Yahoo and just recently created some inbound links to the site.

Could it be that they are not listing me because I have too many affiliate links?

Anybody that could provide some insight would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Evie

Both yahoo and google accept gambling sites in their normal index, just not for ppc advertising. The best way to get your site indexed is to do some link exchanges and then wait a few days and you should see yourself indexed by them.

Yahoo also stopped accepting gambling sites in their directory (the original yahoo). It’s also very hard and nearly impossible to get listed in the DMOZ directory, which is what Google uses.
