Is the webmaster of this site a member of CAP?
He has stolen my entire review of 32Red word for word. 32Red have emailed him as I have this afternoon but the review is still up as I write this.
Stolen Review – Remove the xxxx – xxxxhttp://www.portal-casinos.com/eng/Casino_Week/Featured%20Casino/32%20Red%20Online%20Casino.asp
February 23, 2006 at 12:14 am #684451AnonymousInactiveWow….word for word, his site looks quite established – he should know better.
Webzcas…. did copyscape let you know of this ?
what do you think of them, as im thinking about putting it on my site
February 23, 2006 at 1:43 am #684468AnonymousInactiveYep. He’s bolded a few words and added the promo portion at the end but there are 7-8 paragrpahs that are your review word for word.
:nono:I’d write to 32Red – they have a forum section here at CAP.
THey will be able to sort out the affiliate and have option to :
– Warn the affiliate
– Ban the affiliate if he/she continuesAnd maybe even reassign any recent sign-ups to your affiliate code.
I’ve worked with Lee from 32Red when he was at Ladbrokes. He’s a straight up person who I’m sure wants to protect hard working affiliates.
Drop them a line. They WILL help.
:colgate:February 23, 2006 at 8:06 am #684498AnonymousInactiveI’ve already contacted 32Red, who have been very helpful. They have also sent an email to the affiliate – But like me this hasn’t had any affect.
Ok this was only yesterday and I may seem impatient. But this page has been indexed by google and I am fuming. I want this guy to take down this page with my content as in now.
February 23, 2006 at 8:07 am #684499AnonymousInactiveWebzcas…. did copyscape let you know of this ?
Yes Copyscape did inform me. Well worth signing up with them.
February 23, 2006 at 9:21 am #684502AnonymousInactive32Red have just informed me they have suspended this webmaster’s affiliate account – which will remain suspended until he takes my content down.
February 23, 2006 at 9:56 am #684503AnonymousInactiveWTG 32red! nice to hear of a casino that is right on top of this kind of thing! To many of them seem to just not care where the sign ups come from! Did you whois the site? I don’t know how to do that.. but it may give you some insight
February 23, 2006 at 10:00 am #684504AnonymousInactiveHi Webzcas,
I am sorry that you are having to go through this, and please rest assured that we are doing everything we can to help you. What this affiliate has done is a complete no-no as far as we are concerned – not only does he breach our terms and conditions when joining 32Red Affiliates, he has breached your copyright.
He was emailed yesterday (Wednesday 22nd) warning him to change the copy. We have given him enough time to respond, but with no communication forthcoming we have suspended his account until he takes the appropriate actions.
I am sorry that you have had to go through this – it seems this ‘copyscape’ you are signed up to is already paying dividends for you.
I would also urge any affiliate of ours NOT to scrape and/or blatantly copy other people’s work – rather, please use the ‘Cheat Sheets’ provided when you log in to the programme. These have more than enough information in there, all bullet-pointed, to help you when writing any review of 32Red and 32Red Poker.
Kindest regards,
LeeFebruary 23, 2006 at 10:39 am #684507AnonymousInactiveGood stuff Lee.
:bigsmile:February 23, 2006 at 4:01 pm #684540AnonymousInactivePleased to report, that after several emails back and forth between portal-casinos.com host, they have locked down the page in question. This then spurred the webmaster into action to contact me and wait for it……….blame it on one of his staff. Of course it was one of your staff, yeah right! :sarcasm:
I have spent the last 24 hours chasing this guy and I know 32Red have also had to spend a bit of time on this as well. I hate webmasters like this, they steal your own work and then cost you a lot in time to get them to remove it.
As a result Goncalo Furtado webmaster of portal-casinos.com is going to get some prime time coverage on my rogue page.

Glad you got it sorted. Hah the classic lie (my webmaster or staff wrote it) i hear that line everytime i contact someone about theft from my sites.
February 23, 2006 at 6:28 pm #684558AnonymousInactiveGood job tracking this down… Let this be a note to all affiliates with the same problem that this is the way to get things done! Unfortunately it costs time (and money), but it can be worth it.
Hopefully 32red shuts down the account for good since it completely goes against their T&C’s.
February 25, 2006 at 12:36 am #684669AnonymousInactiveGlad to see some justice Bad staff, bad staff
March 8, 2006 at 3:03 am #685638AnonymousInactiveIt’s not very often you see an affiliate program like the one that handles 32Red go to bat for its affiliates.
I just discovered something this evening and if anyone can pass this on to fellow forum users – I’d appreciate it.
I just redid my casino site and on my sportsbook page I had some casinos I promoted out of the focal point but still visible. As I was clicking on each of the links so I could update them, 12 different links were redirected to a page called http://www.gdough.com.
This is the 3rd time this has happened to me. It may be ironic but all 3 times they have been heavy with Referback. This idiots aff id with Referback is 54687 so he’s been at it a few years.
The 1st time this happened, Judith was still at Referback and it was handled immediately. The 2nd time was about a year later, Referback never got back in touch with me and I had to change everything on my site and copyright it. Now this is the 3rd time. I’ve had over 18,000 unique visitors to my sportbook page this year alone and what do you want to bet aff54687 made some money off of me.
This is a competitive business between us affiliates and we need to do something before it becomes :Pisser: dog eat dog
March 8, 2006 at 3:31 am #685641AnonymousInactiveI had to pop some pills before making this post. Latley there has been a surge for redirects to Referback. I would get a hold of Wayne and bring this to his attention.
Another, is to fill out a spam report with the Major SE’s they hate this stuff and will take swift action. I can’t get more involved than that, good luck! greek39
