March 13, 2006 at 7:08 pm #686115AnonymousInactiveI’m assuming :
that Ying88 is unhappy with the offer of just $20 for a CPA from his site and thinks that it is because he and his site are chinese in origin.
Therefore an accusation of “racial discrimination”.
My personal opinion? The CPA seems low and his location will have played a part.
But given the “urban legends” of rorting of the CPA by unscrupulous websites from all over the world I am not surprised.
It seems sensible business practice if Ying88‘s site is not known to the merchant.
Ying88
IF you’re not happy with the offer then you can turn it down.Or you could apply for a revenue share which will reward you a share appropriate to the value of your customers.
Perhaps once your site has proved it’s value then a large CPA may be forth-coming.
March 13, 2006 at 7:34 pm #686118AnonymousInactiveThere is obviously no discrimination. The current status with chinese players is that their ability to deposit, play is so limited that it is impossible at this point to give a higer CPA.
I’ve never heard anyone complaining about discrimination when some affiliate programs gave extra money for each non-US player recruited…It’s a business decision. You’re free to accept it or work on a rev-share or even work with our competitors.

March 13, 2006 at 7:41 pm #686122AnonymousInactiveHey ying, Dont promote anyone only ofering you $20 cpa.
There are many sites out there offering sites in chinese. check euro poker, which is a poker room skin start at 30% , pacific poker also has chinese banners and party poker has a chinese landing page. try them
Paying someone 20$ cpa is taking advantage of them.
March 13, 2006 at 8:27 pm #686129AnonymousInactiveWe all play by the same rules (euro poker whoever is offering chinese banners, translations etc..). Which are:
– You cannot process CC in china – unless you work with uncoded processors.
– Player value is extremely low.So obviously you can manage below the radar to bring in players to a brand and get a decent CPA for a couple of weeks, but they’ll notice very quickly and will kick you out of their program for fraud. Obviously you’ll have quite some difficulties to defend your case and you won’t be paid.
We took a more pragmatic approach to this matter. We are willing to pay for players. No questions asked. But what we pay is much lower and the chances of ROI are therefore higher.
Right now, we’ve got $250 CPA deals with selected affiliates that deliver big volumes of players. Same volume of players can delivered by chinese affiliates. but do you think anyone would buy them at this price? I don’t think so. And you know why? Because whatever and however we run our business (and i speak on my behalf and probably most of hte operators), the bottom line always comes first. And YOU, the affiliates don’t want to work with operators that don’t know how to look after their bottom line, otherwise at some point those operators will disappear, with the players you sent them, their money, your commissions etc… etc… you know the story.
To conclude:
– we’re not taking advantage of anyone here.
– we’re trying to run our business in a profitable and pragmatic manner.Laurent

March 21, 2006 at 7:56 pm #686786AnonymousInactiveI just went through your site which is supposed to be a portal for players and noticed that your main listing of casinos/poker rooms is composed of 2 merchants. fire&ice and pokerium. The funny thing is pokerium is listed 6 times, with pretty much the same review etc… I also noticed htat you have the “certified program by Casino affiliate programs” image posted on your site which is normally used by casino affiliate programs like ourself as opposed to portals for players like your site.
Anyway, the amount wager isn’t relevant unless we know how many players have played and how much was paid for each player. Once we got those figures we’ll probably be able to draw some conclusions.

LaurentHi Ying,
Laurent is right, CAP doesn’t have a button to give to affiliates. This button is for programs, and it is awarded selectively. So, please take it down.
Maybe you want to try revenue share instead? You can make some nice money that way.
Or, if your players wager that much, try a program that pays for wagering.
