Quick question for those who have established websites… Do you generally find that popups (popunders) generally DO or DO NOT work for conversions? And where do you generally have your popups leading if you do have one? I’m removing mine today until I can get more feedback from people who know what they’re talking about (meaning not from me). Thanks folks.
Personally I get a lot more complaints than conversions, and for a site with a high repeat visitor rate, that is deadly.
I am with Dom on this one they do not convert well any more I am removing mine soon

I hate them – why would I subject my visitors to them?

:shhh:My thoughts on pops are this.. I never look at them.. I install pop up blockers to keep them away.. (3 to be exact) Pop Unders are sneaky lil bastards that piss me off.. I go out of my way to close them ASAP.. but in all honesty, I do not recall EVER even giving a pop up a second glance! So why would I go to the trouble of installing them? More than likely .. a waste of time

Well said LH! I definately agree and urge anyone thinking about adding them to make sure it is WORTH something. I know visitors do not appreciate them.
Better left out of most any site IMO!
