February 1, 2006 at 9:50 pm #682444AnonymousInactiveFebruary 7, 2006 at 8:03 pm #682888AnonymousInactiveGoogle’s results have been scattered through their different data centers for quite a few weeks now. Some showing certain results and links and another showing completely different results and backlinks.
IMO they are tweaking things in anticipation for another PageRank / Backlink update (it’s close to three months), and in order to increase the quality of search results.
BigDaddy is NOT an actual data update or algorithm update, it is a new infrastructure for Google that they have not used before. Now most data centers are switching over to BigDaddy results and should all be in sync before long. Once that happens I bet Google updates PR and BL again.
My guess – V-day (Feb. 14th)
February 14, 2006 at 4:28 pm #683482AnonymousInactiveIt’s Feb. 14th! Lets see if my prediction is right about a Google update this week or today. The BigDaddy results should be insync, and we should see new green on our toolbars as well as backlinks.
February 14, 2006 at 4:32 pm #683484AnonymousInactiveI have been bouncing around on a number of terms.
February 14, 2006 at 4:48 pm #683486AnonymousInactiveLast night the backlinks were updated on a few of my sites. Usually the visible PR is updated soon after this happens.
February 14, 2006 at 8:43 pm #683512AnonymousInactivebigdaddy rather firm settled now here in holland,
no backlinks or pr yetbut thr 14th it is for me

I guess my prediction wasn’t too far off then.
Your right, the PR export to the Toolbar usually happens soon after a BL update. I notice the SERP’s changing still from DC to DC, but I haven’t seen any BL updates on my sites.
February 14, 2006 at 10:55 pm #683539AnonymousInactiveNo backlinks update yet on any of the sites I track.
February 15, 2006 at 2:18 am #683562AnonymousInactiveMy serps are going nuts. Up 200 down 100 some really freaky stuff is happening. Being index on paid inclusion engines without paying.
February 15, 2006 at 9:02 pm #683664AnonymousInactiveFebruary 15, 2006 at 10:13 pm #683669AnonymousInactiveon the prediction for our main pages and 4 for most others..
I hope this thing is accurate:-)
February 15, 2006 at 10:45 pm #683670AnonymousInactiveI wish I could believe that tool, but it doesn’t seem accurate. If it is, we are going from a PR4 to a PR7, and while I would be elated to see that, I don’t think it is possible given the strategy we have taken to build links…slow and steady.
If you go to the forums on that site, there is someone debunking the tool altogether, saying it is trying to predict page rank by not even looking at any factors that even affect page rank.
Here’s the forum link:
http://www.iwebtool.com/talk/t1046-page-rank-predictor-ive-found-out-what-it-does.htmlHere’s another tool that tries to predict as well:
http://www.rustybrick.com/pagerank-prediction.phpIf they are right, we should stay at a PR4, which I see as highly unlikely, though one of our sub-pages will be a PR10. As they say on their site, use it for entertainment purposes only.
