February 20, 2006 at 12:42 pm #684028AnonymousInactivethis will be my last attempt to work with your program. Either shut this thief down or you will lose me as an affiliate for life.
Horrible support, i expected better from referback.
February 21, 2006 at 1:59 am #684159AnonymousInactiveI can see it’s frustrating … although it’s pretty rare that a mention like that will rank above you in search engine listings ….
And can you really trademark a website name and prevent people from writing about it ?
Common brands like Microsoft, Google, (et al) along with various news sites and portals are unable to do so – so is it really possible to stop people mentioning Drawdead ?
:popcorn:As an example … I put in my website name “GoonersGuide” (which i’m sure you’ll agree is not a common usage word) … and Google reported 17,800 matches.
I cannot see how it’s hurting my site – nor can I see how what they are doing is in anyway illegal? They haven’t stolen copy …
Not wanting to start a fight – but exactly how is this an affiliate issue? And why should the website change their text ?
:popcorn:February 21, 2006 at 2:39 am #684166AnonymousInactiveThe problem comes into play when they use drawdead.com in the decription tag. We all know how the major SE’s feel about this. I know Google makes it very clear so does Yahoo.
This thread has been going on long enough, Holis doesn’t have to take this sort of disrespect. The links he provided are redirect scraper monkey links. By default the domain is protected within the internet. I won’t come out and just say it, but Gooner read into this a little deeper, you are one of the brighter ones on this forum.
They just keep on hammering away at us. Where is Wayne in regards to this matter? greek39

What disrepect my man? I’m not trying to start a fight – simply to understand the issue …
I am asking a simple question. How can we censor the internet to prevent mention of website, company name or anything?
I understand content lifting is wrong – I understand framing sites is wrong … but what it do not understand is how mentioning that “drawdead.com was created initially to focus on daily freeroll listings” is wrong?
Isn’t that a fact ?
I search for drawdead on google and found this entry on http://www.pokeraffiliateworld.com/2005+PAW+Awards.cms.htmMost Improved Affiliate of the Year
This award goes out to our veteran member Drawdead. I began working with Drawdead even before the days of PartyRiches. Within the last twelve months Drawdead has went from having absolutely nothing to do with the poker affiliate industry to running a very successful poker affiliate business.
Is that a breach too ?
I’m simply trying to understand the REAL issue here.February 21, 2006 at 2:58 am #684168AnonymousInactiveI don’t mean you Gooner disrespecting the man, I mean the people doing the damage. I respect you too much to direspect your opinion. I would shoot mysely in the foot if it ever came to that. greek39
