Typing link:http://www.mysite.com in msn.com gives me around 700 results for one site of mine while link:http://www.mysite.com in google brings around 20 results only.
How comes this big difference?
One of the theories is that Google do not show all your links in their database as an attempt to keep their algorithm and the manner in which they give PR to certains pages.
But it is only that . One more of the speculations to explain the Google dance.
Google is always low. I have one website that’s something like this:
Google: 250
MSN: 3,200
Yahoo: 5,400You could take this to mean that I have 250 backlinks from page/sites indexed in Google.
I think that’s part of the equation. MSN and Yahoo index more and don’t sandbox.
