I have a player on my message boards who has reported something troublesome. He reposts that about every 15th hand he is shortchanged on his payout. He has a bet of say $7 but when he wins he is paid $1. He posted a screenshot of the payouts, and says he has about 10 of them. He goes on to say that he got the usual runaround from support. He writes:
“For two weeks I have been trying to get them to take me seriously. Calls with supervisors, managers, regular customer service types, countless e-mails, all with little progress. I’ll note they are all very friendly people. They are just not willing to admit that there is a glitch with the software and they should have never gone live with it in the first place.”
I want to say that I don’t know the player at all, and I realize there must be another side to this story, but I find this very disturbing. I want to bring it to everyones attention here to give Party a chance to respond, and so we can all keep abreast of this.
Here is a link to the original post with screenshot.

January 6, 2006 at 9:28 pm #680020AnonymousInactiveI doubt we will see any more updates because the original poster was wrong. I have played the blackjack game from the inception. Never had a problem.
January 7, 2006 at 1:12 am #680035AnonymousInactiveSoftware can be funky – it could be an account-specific problem. We can’t see what’s going on, so we can’t say that he was wrong just because it’s worked for us.
Would like to hear party’s response / conclusion
January 7, 2006 at 2:28 am #680037AnonymousInactiveI haven’t heard anymore from the party, but I am surprised by Acesup’s attitude. Did you ook at the screenshot? I am also surprised that PP hasn’t responded here.

I thought this might be the case, but I guess I was wrong.

Here is the latest from the player. Since they also have not responded here it I will be taking them down. I understand if they are trying to find a bug in their code. That can be very hard sometimes, but to treat the customers this way, and offer no “sorry we really are working on it” is just bad business.
I never got an explanation or compensation. When I call, the customer service supervisor tells me that it has been escalated to the technical department and until THEY call me there is nothing they can tell me. I ask to speak to someone in the tech. dept. and they won’t allow that. I ask to speak to someone higher on the food chain and they won’t let me. I have never seen such poor customer service before. I sent a complaint to the OSGA (mostly they are watchdogs for sports books but I hoped they would help or refer me to someone else). They didn’t even get back to me. I’ll send Party Poker an e-mail every few days, but at this point I’m just about done. I’ve gone hard for a month now and they have finally worn me down. I guess screwing the little guy is what they do.January 10, 2006 at 11:50 pm #680345AnonymousInactiveI was playing about 3 days ago, and thought I noticed an incorrect payoff when I received blackjack. I thought I might have been seeing things, so I decided to pay closer attention the rest of the session.
Sure enough, later on, I had a $2 bet, hit blackjack, and received a $3.50 payoff! The scroll at the bottom of the screen read “Congratulations, you win $3.50, last bet $2” Now we all know, this is TOTALLY incorrect.
When I looked in my game log, it read that I had bet only ONE DOLLAR!!! Even still, the payoff was incorrect. I contacted PP CS but they denied anything was wrong with the game, and that my logs indicted that I had bet $1, and that my balance was correct based on the $1 bet. HOWEVER, they did later admit in a follow up email that the INFO SCROLL at the bottom left of the screen WAS WRONG, and that they were working to fix it….however, they still weren’t admitting that they paid me off incorrectly…but I know what I saw.
Interestingly enough today, Blackjack seems to be down at PP. Maybe they are fixing the “problem” that doesn’t exist.
PS. I just got screwed again! After they had shut down blackjack earlier today, I figured maybe they had fixed the problem. but, about 45 minutes into my session, I had $2 bet, received blackjack, and got paid $3.50!!!
January 11, 2006 at 1:07 am #680348AnonymousInactiveI have taken them down from my site. We all understand that new software can have bugs, but to handle the customers this way is inexcusable.
