    Hello,

I see many offers for gaming news feeds in XML / RSS and things like “jokes of the day” and so on. How are all these offers on the duplicate content matter. I would think that If 200 different portals get the same news feed the influence would be rather negative with the S.E, is that so?

    Thanks!

    Who REALLY knows?
    Who cares?

IF the content is actually useful to yourself and your player market then you should feel free to include it. Making choices on your website simply according to SEO ratings isn’t likely to do long term good.

A good example of that for me is a series of league tables and results from around Europe.
    – I could spend and hour or so a day updating and producting them.
    – Or I could decide that it’s not worth the effort.
    – Or I could simply source in some Automated content that updates while I sleep..

    (Guess which I choose …).

If your site is ALL automated content then I guess it’s a bad thing. But sprinkling valid and useful automated content amoungst your own words in not a bad thing IMO.

TheGooners comments are spot on. As long as you use the feeds in moderation and as part of a page or a section that adds to the value of your site, rather than using them to create full pages on your site, you should be fine.

Which gambling news XML / RSS source would you recommend?

Those which are served by the fastest servers !!!

have in mind that in general, for every visitor that reaches your web site:
1 – your server will send an http request to get the latest rss feed.
2 – your server will analyze the rss/xml files data and covert it to html

These take time and resources. the more slower/busier the remote server is the more time your surfers will have to wait for the page to load.

handle this without care and you will gain more loses then success.

    Hope that helps
