I was checking my stats this morning, and I saw that the MSN Bot had spend over 5 hours on my site in the last week, so I went and searched it on MSN. I’m #1 for a couple of search terms already! Admittedly, the search terms are pretty much my website name, but under those terms, I don’t even show up on google yet. I have to type my actual URL to find my site on Google. This is very exciting to me! I’m wondering though, does MSN result in much traffic? (I’m excited anyway though )

December 2, 2005 at 4:36 pm #677756AnonymousInactiveI have gotten several players through MSN. Don’t count them out, MSN will eventually get it right.
Good for you, Sisko! It’s a step in the right direction – for sure. Patience is the key with Google… It may take a while. In the meantime, focus on Yahoo and MSN.
December 2, 2005 at 6:13 pm #677765AnonymousInactiveYeah, any listing is better than no listing. For yahoo I still need to search the actual URL, but I did see a click from there the other day, so maybe I’m showing up some of the time…
It’s all very exciting. It’ll be even more exciting when I make a dollar.
December 2, 2005 at 7:14 pm #677769AnonymousInactiveThat’s because unlike google the msn search engine is not a piece of junk and isn’t outdated. They actually list websites that are less than 2 years old.

Google just produces a bunch of goo and crappy old websites. Google likes you to stand the test of time, so old websites are given preference and new ones are almost strangled before they catch their first breath of air. MSN also likes content, whereas google thinks that being Miss Popular is more important hence link exchanges that are artificial in itself.
On another note it’s not just gambling. When doing any search i usually have to sift through several pages on G before finding anything remotely useful…
December 3, 2005 at 10:41 am #677797AnonymousInactiveAlthough we have been physically managing content for our site I have noticed that the only engine that has been giving us any attention is MSN.
We even had some top positions for gambling key phrases, I like to think of it as MSN credited the content we have been added. Which in my opinion is a much better way of credited sites, based on the effort and unique content added to them.
We will keep trying, more and more content! Yahoo and Google and treating us bad but we will focus on MSN keywords.

Have some no1s in msn for search terms I cannot find my sites in google. And If i have good listings for terms in google they disappearr again after some days or weeks.
MSn looks to me as the se that really focuses on the meta tags. -
