    Wow. A great idea …
    But …

I just played it after following an affiliate link off one of these posts.

Downloaded OK, got going, winning on viedo poker and blackjack .. but thought that i’d try out all the bits of the casino.

And at about the 28 minute mark the system bombed me out during my first spin in the BREAK DA BANK slot game with a windows dialog box and the “UNKNOWN ERROR” description …

(I assume that it meant to say I’d won a jackpot ?? .. He says hopefully.)
    :wink-wink

I don’t think so … but I was sitting on about 800 credits at the time … and although the software recovered after I logged in (time counter was about right) the credits had been reduced to zero.
    🙁

    My Regn Id = rcsv06570027

I suggest that you check the logs for an error – it occured around 10 minutes ago.

    Hi Gooner/All,

Just wanted to follow-up to close this one off. We do have a log of your event, however the funds were not lost. So the program did crash & recovery with the time counter intact and so were the credits – I know the later point being the disputable part … allow me to explain.

Basically because this concept wasn’t part of the MGS’s initial design back in the day so we’ve found our own way of doing it. How we’ve chosen to do it is to have the main ‘cruiser’ window open and then have the free spins cruiser open nested within that window. Because all users are new users when the give the free spins a try their ‘real’ balance is actually zero.

The zero balance is shown in the background or main cruiser window and a lot of players have made the mistake of thinking their balance had dropped down to zero because they were actually just looking at the real balance in the background/parent window as opposed to their accurate freespins balance which is in the free spins window.

I’ve checked your account and there is actually still a balance in there if you don’t believe me. So … while your feedback is always welcome I think we can tie this one off.

Keep up the good work promoting this bad boy … the results are continuing to grow! Of course if anybody does run into any potential problems, please be sure to let me know ASAP so we can investigate immediately.

    Cheers,
    Ryan

    Hello Ryan,

No problem at all my friend … I just wanted to log the issue in with you after I tried it out and it failed for me.
    😮

There seemed to be a bit more than you mention. i got an error dialog box. Tryed gonig back to the menu and into other games. I looged back in – still zero. It was not just a one-off window thing on one game.
    😮

If that happened to me as a customer (without the webbie background) then I’d be ropable and crying blue murder about rigged casinos …

The concept is good – very good in fact – but the implementation is flawed.

Even though I understand it’s a bodge-up version and not a reflection of the main casino. I do not think that customers will accept the answer – and it will reflect badly on ALL casinos I represent – they would be tarred with the same brush.

So I’m not really prepared to be pushing something that falls over like that.
    :nono:

As for the actual credits – they are not a major issue with me at all – I’m no big roller and do NOT play the casinos for profits … You can keep the money.

Hmmm, I haven’t had anyone complain, and my newsletter readers are right on the trigger since they can just reply to the letter and get me in person.

I did get a bunch of feedback on this one, a few saying they won and a couple saying they didn’t, but I got no tech glitch complaint. I think there is one tech glitch mentioned at Meister.

So it can’t be wide spread…

    Hi Paul,

Thanks for the extra info, I’ll pass this along to IT and see if it raises any eyebrows … will post if I have extended info.

FYI: not real money … but rather the money left over in your freespins account that you said went missing. And it’s less than the $500 you started with, so no value basically.

    Hi Paul,

Ok … consulted with our IT guys and did a bit of testing and the way you’ve described the above is actually a rather messy combination of things related to the both the freespins cruiser window and the main (real casino) cruiser window…. that is, we’d really need to have been a “fly on the wall” to see what you really did/what really happened, but given the info you’ve explained …

It sounds like the freespins did crash, but recovered accordingly with the counter and funds intact. However, on recovery it seems that you were working on the main cruiser window instead of the freespins one (which would’ve shown the zero balance, etc.

So, the IT guys say – please don’t take offence to this, I am just regurgitating here, “it just sounds like he got stuck in an easy situation to get confused by after the freespins window crashed.” So that might be it, but we are keeping our eyes peeled for any similar such event and thank you for the feedback. We really appreciate you helping us improve!

    No offence taken mate.
If you’re satisfied you’ve got it sorted then that’s OK with me.
