I tried to tell them that that question was not necessary or to at least explain the need for it when I took the survey, but I guess that suggestion was missed.

Thanks guys for your support! So far the survey has been going well and we have had a great completion rate on the survey.
As for the earnings figure question we did consider feedback for not including this question and we thought that if we make this question not compulsory, then you have a choice about answering this question or not. We want to use the accumulative earnings figure to qualify some of the data sets and create associations.
We appreciate that this data is sensitive and we will be keeping this information confidential.
Did it too, was a nice break from the ordinary, great questions. Hope you can use the data to better improve the program.
