Hi people,
I am very new to this industry, so any advice, hints or tips from you guys would be a great help.
I’ve signed up to vegas partners affiliate programme, created a basic website and now i want to promote it. I’ve recently signed up with a couple of CPC programmes, GoClick and Miva which seem to be delivering traffic, (i’ve installed a statcounter, in the last week i’ve had approx 400 visitors a day) am i on the right tracks ?? What methods are you guys using ?? i have time but initially a low budget. Please help me……..

Thanks, thats what i’ve read from a few people, what is it exactly ?September 5, 2005 at 5:57 pm #672372AnonymousInactiveType it into google and a whole world will open up to you.
Search Engine Optimization
There are a number of very good forums about it.
Don’t hire any companies to do it for you! Just learn about it yourself.

I am just curious how successful was your PPC campaign. You mentioned 400 visitors/day, and if I can ask was there any conversion to players?
I am planning to start a PPC campaign myself but I just don’t want to throw away my money.
Also, did you target keywords such “online casino”, or rather keywords for a lesser niche?
Thanks in advance

My website has only been running for 2 weeks and not all those visitors came from a PPC campaign, However when i signed up to GoClick i did get a massive surge in hits. Carefull tho if you bid for the top spots i can be expensive.
As i’m new to this i’m not really sure if i’m going the right way about things, especially as i’ve had no players despite lots of hits and many downloads (which is really frustrataing!).
And yes i did bid for keywords like online casino and online poker room etc etc.
Let me know if you find any better PPC programmes…..September 6, 2005 at 3:00 pm #672437AnonymousInactiveYou need to bid for the small terms that do not get a lot of clicks, and it helps if your site has what people are going to be looking for.
Pick your keywords very carefully and you will get few visitors but the right ones.
I think you have already figured out that getting lots of visitors doesn’t really translate into making money.
Getting the right visitors does.
September 6, 2005 at 6:11 pm #672460AnonymousInactiveThanks, that does sound logical
September 6, 2005 at 8:11 pm #672471AnonymousInactiveThanks Dom and escape for the info.
I thought the same that I should target smaller terms to get more quality visitors. (And my budget is limited, I rather spend on quality copy for my site.)
I am doing the seo way, just in the beginning (my site is 2 months old) it is hard just to sit and see the big 0-s in the stats ) That’s why I thought I would try a PPC campaign.
Just one more question: so golick is a reputable PPC engine?
Thanks again!
September 6, 2005 at 10:16 pm #672479AnonymousInactiveSEO takes time.
Some people are ok with goclick, I am not so great with it.
You can try european PPCs.
