I was writing a review of Poker Office for my site yesterday, so I logged into PP to check out the overlays at live tables. Happily I noticed there was $20 in my account. I’ve heard PP will put $ in your account to entice you to play, just never been given any myself.
So I play for about two hours, hit a really good run of cards and get it up to $71.50 and cash out for $51.50.
Today I log back into my account, and surprise surprise my account is frozen! I call customer service, they put me on hold for awhile, then come back and inform me that many many players are logging in from my account. Basically saying fraud is going on. Yeah right, I’m the only poker player in the house, and being an IT guy my comp is about as safe as it can get from hackers.
Basically I took their bonus, dared to win some money and cash out, so they were gonna close my account. Then I tell the guy I’m an affiliate with them and this isn’t going to look too good when I write about my experience on my website. Up until today I had a very positive review of PP listed.
He puts me on hold again, then comes back and low and behold, everything is just peachy and fine again! He’s very sorry for the misunderstanding and my cash is back in the account(minus the $20 bonus of course) and I can log in again.
Just amazing. For a lousy $50! What is that, that’s like a movie and snacks! In all seriousness I’ve never withdrawn via a check and wanted to see how fast it would arrive, I was going to include that in my PP review.
I don’t know if this is standard practice for them but I’m through with them, I can’t in good conscience recommend them on my site if they’re going to pull BS like that. I shudder to think what would have happened if I’d built it up to 1k and then attempted a cash out. I mean, so I deposit a grand or two, win big, then they freeze my account??!!
Unprofessional, unethical, and just plain cheap. Going to go re-write my review, cancel my affiliate account, and take all their banners off my site. For $50 lousy bucks?!!! And this is after they wouldn’t give me a straight answer about stealing back players after they go idle. Good grief! For $50 bucks!!!! I’m stunned!
Gah,

Just so I don’t get confused with acronyms … exactly who is PP ?
I could think of about 4 poker places … and I’m a newbie …Got a brand name and a website for this crowd ?

Well, I know one thing, you are not going to get any answers here.
They have lots and lost of serious questions about their program here in their forum and since Satya is gone there is no one at all minding the ship it seems.
There are unclear issues about players being removed after 3 months, about other affs being allowed to comp your fun players to move them into active accounts under themselves, and there are issues regarding the casinos and bingo, all three of which are totally seperate aff sites, bundling their wins so if someone wins at slots at planetluck or starluck your bingo income is wiped out.
We have no facts, no answers – nothing.
It’s a disgrace.
September 1, 2005 at 3:37 am #672116AnonymousInactiveParty’s strategy seems to be: the affiliates can do the leg work and once we hit big (IPO), then we’ll have enough traction to show indifference to our affiliates. This is becoming all too common a trend in the industry, and shows why we must hold programs accountable to us (their partners.)
September 6, 2005 at 3:43 pm #672443AnonymousInactiveSpeaking about casinos and bingo… anyone been paid yet for Starsuck and PB? Let’s hope this month they don’t rape me again of my earnings.
September 13, 2005 at 6:20 pm #672782AnonymousInactiveI am going to be speaking with a few big shots at PartyGaming next week regarding something completely different than this, however I am going to drop the bug in their ear that since Satya left there are many unsatisfied affiliates.
Let’s hope we can get some resolution to all of these issues and continue to promote them.
September 15, 2005 at 4:03 pm #672850AnonymousInactiveHello all, I had a very good meeting with Bev from Iglobal/Party Poker and I feel that things will only get better. She is heading up a whole new group for the new affilliate program.
Give her a little time and things will all start to get better with their program. Going public is a very big deal and they just need to catch up.

They will resume posting here very soon, in a week or so.
I brought up all the issues with PP and the bingo and casinos that have been discussed here recently. Party Gaming is creating a new on stop program for us that will solve all of these programs as far as I could tell.
I think that this will end very well for us, so let’s give them a chance to finish putting all of this together.
The wind of change is blowing at Party Gaming.
