Satya,
I am not sure if this is the right place to discuss this, but I am not getting any help from the customer support call center. Ever since Party Poker upgraded their client on July 8th, I have been having connectivity related issues while playing. I am able to sit on the tables and play, however, at random intervals I will briefly lose connectivity to the server. Sometimes I get timed out before I get to act and sometimes the connectivity is restored with enough time to act on my hand. This problem is happening to several people on Party Poker. Whenever it happens to me on the table, I ask everyone else on that table if they are having connectivity related problems and they all say yes. I believe there may be some type of bug within the new client or something of that nature.
Everytime I call the customer support center, they tell me that it appears to be a local problem to my machine or my local ISP. They tell you the standard stuff to uninstall/reinstall the program, etc. I have encountered the same problems using different PC’s and different ISP’s (work and home). The problem is not local to my machine or ISP as others around the world are having the same problems. Please have someone look into this. I am sure that others on this forum that play on Party might have similar problems and hopefully they will add to this thread.
Thanks,
acesup

You might be able to find a solution to the problem on twoplustwo.July 21, 2005 at 3:23 pm #669064AnonymousInactiveI checked out the twoplustwo forum and it looks like everyone is having a problem with Party Poker. They should revert back to the old client until the bug is fixed. These guys are really making me upset because lots of my players are going to abandon Party Poker if this persists. This is rediculous, especially since I reported it to them several days ago and they kept brushing me off.
Here is a link to a lot of pissed off players:
July 22, 2005 at 1:35 am #669098AnonymousInactiveI love playing on Party Poker and promoting them, but their customer support call center is worthless. The people answering the phone are clueless and they are just making this situation worse. Here is a link from a forum that describes the problems that people are facing.
I have called them over 10 times and emailed them dozens of times and they keep thinking it is a local problem. Read that thread above and you will see that the problem is with the software. I literally cant play at Party Poker anymore cause of this. Tell those guys in the call center to quit sending those automated replies to emails suggesting that it is a local PC or local ISP problem.
If you dont believe me, go and sit on any random table and ask the players if they are having connectivity problems.
THE CLIENT HAS A BUG IN IT AND NO ONE AT PARTY POKER GIVES A DAMN.
July 23, 2005 at 5:21 pm #669192AnonymousInactivecan we get a response please. i cant believe other affiliates are not concerned by this. this is a widespread problem throughout the network and it is affecting everyone. players are going to start leaving party very soon if this is not fixed.

I contacted someone to look at this – hopefully after the weekend someone will reply here.
July 23, 2005 at 6:29 pm #669196AnonymousInactivethanks dominique,
it is just frustrating that i have to call them for 2 weeks straight and i am getting no where. the site is virtually unplayable because of the timeouts. my earnings are down the tubes. if they tell me one more time that is my problem and not theirs, i am going to fly to India and handle this in person.

Mine too. MGR for each of the past several days is down ~50% from my typical daily average.
You can only imagine how much $$ Party itself is losing each day due to these connectivity issues.
