Yahoo! has updated, or is in the process of doing so….
Unfortunately, most of the top listings in what I target are the same old crap listings: Manufactured text stuffed with keywords, re-directs, ect…. it’s pretty sad
July 20, 2005 at 3:15 pm #668986AnonymousInactiveYep noticed. Taken a massive hit.
July 20, 2005 at 3:45 pm #668989AnonymousInactiveYep, seems my bump during their last update was short-lived.
Can’t find my pages anywhere now.
July 20, 2005 at 6:32 pm #669003AnonymousInactiveI like the way I came out:

I sure hope its not over.
Dropping 98 places isnt fun.
July 21, 2005 at 1:24 pm #669052AnonymousInactiveAccording to the Yahoo! blog, its supposed to be ongoing for the next week or two…. they are saying it’s a major change….
personally, I see the same ole spam…..
One of my sites had recently jumpted 22 places… now it’s #98…. needless to say, I’m not real excited by this ‘update’ :huh2:
July 21, 2005 at 1:32 pm #669055AnonymousInactiveYep. They have removed a lot of spam filters from what I am seeing. I wouldn’t panic, this always happens when any of the big engines perform a big algo update. I would expect once it has finished that all the spam will go back into the spam can again.
July 21, 2005 at 4:44 pm #669070AnonymousInactiveHmmm.
Well, I don’t consider my site to be a spam site, so I hope all of my newly listed pages aren’t removed from the index after the next update.
And to be honest, I was never sure why, exactly, my site wasn’t being fully indexed in the first place. It only recently turned 6 months old — perhaps there are age requirements that prevent the interior pages from being listed until the site reaches a certain age. Or maybe I had too many outbound links and not enough content. Maybe it was the word “gambling” in the domain. Who knows…. :satisfied
