Summary:
A new software program found at powerpokersecrets.com has the online poker community in a frenzy. Their software, tested in front of a live crowd, actually displayed poker cards before they were dealt

July 6th, 2005
Online poker players are cashing in on new software to “better” their odds. The Power Poker Secrets software package is a brand new software system that has the world of poker on its feet. The makers claim that the software has the ability to actually view cards online before they are dealt out to online poker players.
What does this mean for the average player?
You may be losing BEFORE the cards are dealt. Many players are seriously concerned about this software. Others are rushing to get ahold of this title to even out the odds for themselves.
Does the software work?
In a live online web feed the company behind the software displayed real live footage of the software in action. They were using a famous poker room in the test to further demonstrate the power of their software.
The results…
The Power Poker Secrets software was accurate enough to display 80% of the cards that were dealt in the upcoming hands. This is bad news for players not using the software.
Currently the software title has built-in stealth modes so poker rooms cannot control the use of the software. This only allows poker cheats to continue winning thousands daily.
July 6, 2005 at 10:59 pm #668153AnonymousInactivewhy woudl they reveal it to the public if he can read the upcoming cards.
Only 1 person would have won 10-100k a day with it.July 7, 2005 at 12:19 am #668158AnonymousGuesthow is it possible to guess what a randomly chosen card is going to be?
If RNGs work as I thought they did, that being that they go thru the remaining cards of what started as 52 choices and randomly throw out a card.
So how can a software guess what is coming before its chosen?
***************************
this is huge and could be the end of the online poker craze.
I wonder what with this news; how affiliates are starting to look to places like Party Poker that THOUGHT they had the world by the balls? All of a sudden poker players are going to get few and far between unless and until an answer is found to counter-act this software.
I know I’m thru playing until I hear different.
… or perhaps I’ll go buy the cheating software. it ought to pay for itself quickly if its all they claim.
July 7, 2005 at 1:29 am #668161AnonymousInactiveLOL. What a scam. There has been software advertising this for quite some time. They only want $50 for it. If it was real, I could get 100K a pop easy.
July 7, 2005 at 1:41 am #668162AnonymousInactiveSigh. More crap for sale on the internet. Who woulda thought?
July 7, 2005 at 2:16 am #668163AnonymousInactiveno way, if it’s on the internet it’s gotta be true. that guy at the end of the bar said so.

Must have been in their news. I don’t save the URL’s of SE news or PR news.
July 7, 2005 at 5:48 pm #668195AnonymousGuestLOL. What a scam. There has been software advertising this for quite some time. They only want $50 for it. If it was real, I could get 100K a pop easy.
so this is a scam for sure? does anybody know? Considering the source … I have to stop and wonder if there is any merit to it or not?
Seems like it should have been pretty easy for the writer of the article to have been there to see the demonstration.
I’m confused. If this is true then its huge.
July 7, 2005 at 6:26 pm #668198AnonymousInactiveIt’s a press release from the site pedling the software. I have never seen the software first-hand to answer your question, but I would bet the $50 it costs that you can’t see your opponents hole cards before anyone else at the table.
July 12, 2005 at 7:12 am #668459AnonymousInactiveScary to say the least if it could ever be true. :suicide:
July 14, 2005 at 6:54 pm #668656AnonymousInactiveBack in the dark ages, someone cracked Planet Poker’s RNG. They definately did not sell or publicise the program. Only an idiot would kill the golden goose.
Also, most modern RNGs are continual (they constantly generate a new card to come out next) so there’s no way to know in advance.
I see this crap everywhere. Sometimes I think I should give up my legit money making attmepts and just make a cheat at poker webpage.
July 17, 2005 at 5:16 pm #668845AnonymousInactiveThe program is compleat Junk, It has no more idea about the next card coming out than i do, Its not worth 50 cents. and no i didnt pay the $50 for it. lets just say i scammed the scammer
