I’m sure many more experienced user have heard of this, but since this is a “newbie” area I thought I would share this program that I’m using to analyze my logs. If anyone knows of a better program let me know but I really like the output of this.

very hard to crack, but it keeps most of the rif-raff out.

weblog expert ($80, 30-day free trial) weblog lite is free.

I’m not yet very savvy, but this only took a couple seconds to set up, I’m sure I’m only using half of the features.

My first week as a webmaster is up tomorrow, hopefully I’ll start making some money in a couple years!

For a new website, you are getting a massive amount of traffic for 5 days, also your site is not even indexed yet by google.

Have you signed up to one of those traffic programs? If so I would recommend you don’t renew as you are very unlikely to get any click thrus and more importantly player conversions as a result.

Your best bet is to use PPC engines such as overture UK and start working on building link exchanges with themed websites.

Most of that traffic is from banner hits. I have it set up so that when someone views my banner I can tell where it was and if they followed through to my site…

I posted that, more so you could see the output of weblog; but since you brought it up… I’m using banner adds on one of those “pay per e-mail” sights; they pay you like .03 to read e-mails, so they can charge .10 or whatever. But instead of paying for the actual e-mail, I paid $10 per 10,000 to piggyback through the paid e-mails as a banner at the bottom of the screen. I’m averaging about 1.5% click-through to to my site or basically .075 per click. Since these people are so used to reading junk mail, ther’re not as careful about what they look at, they just Clicktapher Columbus their way around all over. In this week I’ve had app 100 clicks on actual casino sites, I don’t know what my regs are because, well you all know how slow they update, but as far as a I can tell I’m at about 20-25 downloads and at least 10 confirmed “kills” so-to-speak. The best part is, I’m using the referrals from my “free money section”, which averages $5 per sign-up, to buy the banner adds, so every two people I get to sign up to read e-mails for .03 each I get about 150 clicks… We’ll see if it works in the end.

I’m in the queue at NASA to run the numbers, but so far I’ve only spent a total of about $100 out of pocket for ads.

Let me know if my numbers are off.
