Sorry for showing my ignorance, but does anyone know of a readily available place to find game strategy content like winning tips, game rules etc., or do most of you just freehand your strategy sections?

:1Dopey:Your best bet is to write your own content. Original content is always best for SEO. You can buy content, but be careful what you buy as most of the cheap stuff is worthless. You can also buy content that is not unique and make changes for SEO purposes, but make sure the author permits the changes before doing it.
I agree with Pokermonger. It’s hard to write your own content, at least it’s been for me cos it takes time, but it’s worth it in the end. It gives people a reason to come back.

Also–in terms of getting someone to write content for you. I’ve had good luck with eLance, but you have to be very careful, and willing to spend some money.
