Do you allow spamming affiliates? I just got this post on our poker forum:
Anyone who would like to get 35% rakeback at Party Poker, email me at
[email protected] and I will tell you what you need to do. You will be paid monthly. I am hoping to make it weekly, but it is still monthly at the moment. If you sign up(email me) today you will get a $25 gift certificate by June 5th which is when they pay me. Plus, after you play 125 raked hands, you will get another $25(you get this if you sign up anytime). Thanks

[email protected] and I will tell you what you need to do. You will be paid monthlyHe’s going to tell the player how to open a second account clandestinely. How he is going to know when the player has been playing is another story.
Of course PP can’t do anything about people spamming other people’s boards, but surely they should be able to go after [email protected] for offering rake back when it is not allowed.
May 24, 2005 at 10:58 am #665986AnonymousInactiveEllen, we don’t allow anyONE to spam using our brands and the same holds true for rake back too.
There is no possible way this affiliate can know his player stats. Therefore rake back is not possible. If you can provide me the tracker or the affiliate’s name, I will get one of the account managers to speak to him.
Hope this clarifies….
Thanks,

Actually I think PP has in their contract that spamming will terminate their affiliate account, wouldn’t this be considered spam?

We tried mailing him, but didn’t get a reply. May be he got scared with all the publicity that his post got.
You are right any affiliate who spams using our brands, we have the right to terminate their accounts.
Thanks,

Yep, very likely. If he pops in again I’ll let you know.

That’s great news, what I wanted to hear, thanks!
