Hello Satya,
It has come to my attention that partypoker is still listed on some sites as a rake back site.
Could you please clarify for me what the stance of Partypoker is in this matter?
Thanks!
April 19, 2005 at 3:43 pm #664371AnonymousInactiveParty Poker does not allow rake backs. If you log into your party poker affiliate control panel and click the link that says “Don’t try it!
Item #5 says: Don’t Try Discounting rake to players – Rake BackApril 19, 2005 at 4:38 pm #664377AnonymousInactiveI’m still a little new to all of this. I see where Party Poker explicitly restricts rake back, but then they offer something called Quick Cash.
QuickCash is a feature that we provide exclusively to our Affiliates having a PartyPoker.com Real Money account. Using QuickCash, affiliates can transfer funds from their PartyPoker.com Account to their Players’ Account.
So what is the difference here? I understand it is to incentivize Fun Players to convert to Real Money Players, but couldn’t it be used in a similar fashion to rake back? Also, does this mean as an affiliate I can sit around on play money tables and offer people cash to start a Real Money account?
April 19, 2005 at 5:05 pm #664381AnonymousInactiveHi All,
As I have mentioned earlier, we don’t allow affiliates to do rake back and any affiliate who does rake back on PartyPoker.com, his/her affiliate account gets blocked.
Quick Cash is a customized feature which has been exclusively implemented to help the affiliates. And affiliates, who do rake back, have various ways of paying back the players.
But the difference is that when an affiliate is detected doing rake back, their accounts get blocked and their payments are put on hold. And I don’t think any affiliate will like to pay rake back to his players when he doesn’t get paid by the poker room.
Hope this clarifies.
Thanks,
SatyaApril 19, 2005 at 7:24 pm #664388AnonymousInactiveSo rake back is allowed as long as it is tracked through Quick Cash?

He was trying to point out that Quick Cash was not created for rake backs, but instead it was created to immediately fund players accounts. Say you have a friend who wants to play and he is reluctant to open up a Neteller account and his credit card is blocked. He can give you a 100 bucks cash and you in turn send him 100 bucks via Quick Cash with your tracker linked to it. He is now your player.
Satya also mentioned that if an affiliate wanted to do rake backs (which is violating the affiliate agreement) they have alternate methods of payment besides Quick Cash, i.e. paypal, neteller, and interaccount transfer.
Bottomline, dont do it.
April 20, 2005 at 1:05 am #664413AnonymousInactiveThanks for clarifying. I’m not interested in doing rake back, but satya’s message was a bit conflicting the way it was written. Guess I understand that part now.
April 20, 2005 at 10:21 am #664430AnonymousInactiveHey Chris,
I just wanted to emphasize on the point that if you do rake back on PartyPoker.com, your account gets blocked. And if your account gets blocked, you don’t have the access to do anything.
Please refrain from doing any form of rake back. This will help the affiliates in the long run.
Hope it is clear now.
Thanks,
SatyaApril 20, 2005 at 1:59 pm #664441AnonymousInactiveThank you for clarifying this for us, Satya.
I really appreciate your stance on this. You are looking out for the long term well being of your affiliates with this policy.
You will deservedly earn devoted affiliates because of your proactive steps.
