Is there an easy way to verify that a site has linked to you? Digging thru 72 pages of links is time consuming and frustrating.

Ask them to provide you with the URL where your link is located when you make the exchange. It may get moved later, but at least you have that to start. If they can’t provide that, they don’t need a link…

You may also want to make sure you can browse to whatever page they provide from their homepage. If you can’t get there, spiders likely can’t either.

Thanks Sparrow. I was just hoping for a magic search feature or software answer. :D

If you find any good software, let me know. Most of it seems to consist of overzealous crawlers and crap auto-gen emails (do they all use the same templates…?).

Thanks Cat. It looks exactly like what I was talking about. I think I’ll try their free trial soon.

I think a good alternative is to not worry about who links to you. Time I could waste on that is time I could spend adding new content or making my site better, which ultimately will mean more revenue (and a better site).
