    Hello there :hithead:
my first post here concerns the popularity of different casinos, from the players point of view.
As webmasters we may have our different favorites because of high conversion ratio and rev share etc.

But can anyone tell me if they have seen stats or read what most players prefer? Marketing skills and early entry can of course see to that some casinos have more players then they maybe should, measured by player experience. Taste is different as well but I am only asking for some directions here.

It would be interesting to know where the more experienced players that have tested a few casinos end up? Or do they shift their favorites for the moment?

So what are the players looking for and where do they find it?
    Thanks :)

    Well,
I have found something myself for the one interested.
    gamblingonlinemagazine.com/gambling-readers-poll-2004.php

This was pretty helpful for me.

I haven’t heard of a lot of those, but I’ve played a few.

UltimateBet was okay, but I didn’t play much.

PartyPoker I played quite a bit, but never deposited. The other players on there generally annoyed me. Most seemed like 20 year old guys that had had a couple too many beers that night…

PokerChamps is the only one I reinstalled after wiping my drive recently. I get a little tired of seeing Gus leering at me when I check my affiliate stats, but I like the software best from a player’s perspective.

Not sure if that helps any. I mostly play for fun…

Casinomeister publishes a yearly “best casino” etc. list.

Also, we have a member, playersJet, whose site http://www.playersjet.com/ rates casinos according to a bunch of relevant criteria.

    Hi Results,

I think if you are to pay closer attention to the whole thing about onlinegamblersmagazine, I think you will find that (SURPRISE!) most the categories (in fact I think it may have been all categories) that the winner was a very same one which is advertised (at least to some extent, and in many cases, you could replace “to some extent”, with “heavily”),

Or at least that was certainly the impression I got when reading the magazine, I haven’t ever visited their website.

I noticed in their magazine verision of their magazine (huh?), that there’s a full page ad adjacent to the page showing the winner of this year’s “readers poll”.

Judging from results gained by someone I know who did a campaign with the mag version of the mag (do you get it yet? okay, so I don’t know the word for the opposite of virtual; I’m dumb), anyway I was told there wasn’t a great deal of traffic generated from the campaign.

Which leads me to my next thought, and that is; how many of those readers they have – are other webmasters just like me?

Hey results, wanted to chime in on this one. Our site will help you a little with finding the most popular (thanks Dom). Paradise Poker has been getting some good reviews lately.

If you are trying to find some information on the most popular casino sites on the web, you may want to take a look at http://www.alexa.com. They will give you traffic rankings for various sites, which would be an indicator of who is most popular. Or at least who is a better marketer.

Thank you all for your guidance.
My belief is that if you are going to promote a casino then you might as well promote the best from the players view. Then he will stay longer at the casino and he will also trust your recommendations and go with your next one and you build trust.

The gamblingonlinemagazine rewards are a joke. It works like this:
A casino sends out a mass mailer and offers $20 free to each player who votes. Obviously the casino with the most players and the best offer to vote wins.

I have advertised in that magazine in the past and received zero traffic.
