promoting this, no later than midnight March 30 as the offer will be removed
then as well.2) The future launch of our new program, http://www.PokerAffiliate.com. The launch
is set to take place on April 4. The are several news and features that we
will present, some of them are the following:– Life time revenues of customers recruited (3-year rule will be removed and
replaced with a minimum recruitment of players per period-rule). You are a
partner of PokerRoom.com. Therefore we will share ALL revenues with you
accordingly but also immediate costs to recruit those customers. As lifetime
earnings will be in place we will share promotional cost (FD-bonus) to
attract that customer with the affiliate– Partnership level program (see attachment), where based on how well you
perform you will be able to earn between 30-40% on recruited customers or
$75-$150 CPA– Statistics/Trackers. You will be able to follow each and every step of
your customers/campaigns through the statistical page. You will be given
between 5-100 trackers depending on how big of an affiliate you are. You
will be able to choose what revenue model (CPA/%) you would like to have for
each tracker– Casino. We will add Black Jack and Caribbean Pirate Poker to your
revenues. Revenues will be calculated on edge X spent dollar X your
revenue%. We will add all other casino games in version 2 (as soon as they
become part of PokerRoom.com internal transaction system)– Tournament revenues will be shared with the affiliate as well with the
launch of version 2 of the new program (set at May 4)– Marketing tools; more banners, more textlinks, flyers and business cards
– Incentives. Apart from the fact that the greater the effort/results, the
greater the rewards, we will also have other incentives for affiliates in
terms of competitions with nice prizesI hope that we will accomplish what we set out to do with the design of the
new program; To provide our affiliates with the best and most rewarding
program in the industry.Kind Regards/

Affiliate Manager at PokerRoom.comMarch 22, 2005 at 10:00 pm #663266AnonymousGuestHi all,
No Randy, from my POV, its bad news.
– Life time revenues of customers recruited (3-year rule will be removed and replaced with a minimum recruitment of players per period-rule).
out of the frying pan and into the fire; if you ask me. the way things were before, I kept poker room on the back shelves. If they insist on going forward with this new minimum recruitment rule; I’ll remove them alltogether even if it means i don’t have a no-download poker room to list.

I don’t set minimum requirements for commission every month (which is damn poor compared to others even on the good months); because I am a resonable person and I understand there will be good months, bad months; and terrible months. I don’t punish the program for this, but they are wanting to punish me if I don’t produce new players every month. SCREW THAT!
– Partnership level program (see attachment), where based on how well you

the only thing good I can say about this is that at least I was told upfront about the minimum requirements so I can take down all of poker room’s links.
You guys need to stop looking for ways to pinch an extra dollar out of your partners and simply be a freaking partner. Because thats all this is; you simply replaced one way of scewing us out of income; with another. And I am NOT buying!

DittoThat said.. I do better with other poker rooms anway (those that actually don’t try and .. what was that again?.. oh.. that’s right… “protect themselves”
many programs see affiliates the same way they see players .. they are all abusers until proven otherwise.

March 22, 2005 at 11:40 pm #663276AnonymousInactive3-year rule will be removed and replaced with a minimum recruitment of players per period-rule
What exactly will this mean?
We don’t get paid for the players we did send if we don’t send a player in any given month?
That’s real nice. S#!t happens, you know. For instance, someone hacked into my server and used the URL of my poker site for Phishing. (really happened recently)
Now I can’t use the domain for a long time because complaints and bounces and such are floating around out there for a long time from something like that. The fall out is huge.
So I will put the site (with some improvements) back up with a new URL and will have to start climbing in the engines all over again.
Poker room would punish me for this by with holding payment for the players I sent them?
No, thanks.

Will save a lot of us from retyping comments.
March 24, 2005 at 1:40 am #663338AnonymousGuestnice call J.
why didn’t I think of that.
March 24, 2005 at 7:21 pm #663369AnonymousInactivestill can’t be said enough, too many choices for straight up poker aff programs, Edward this new re-launch will be alot of work for minimal rewards, if you automate your sign ups and payouts correctly you do not have to protect yourself.
I was going to put up the 40% promo but not now.

March 24, 2005 at 11:34 pm #663381AnonymousInactiveIf anyone wants a no download poker room Pacific Poker has a no download version.
As for pokerroom.com i have always been dissapointed with the results. I always stay away from any program that has minimum requirements. I was planning on removing them due to poor performance, but this is was the last straw. They are gone next update.
March 25, 2005 at 6:25 am #663395AnonymousGuestThanks A.
Only problem is; is that I think it was Pacific that had that deal where the player’s account got hacked, and the player contacted support and told them while he didn’t hold Pacific responsible for his loss ($2k), that he did request the account be frozen until he could figure out what to do, (still over $1k in the accout), and then the hacker somehow re-entered thru the player’s PC and was able to lose the remainding money in the account. To which Pacific would not make right.
please correct me if I’m wrong.
gonna go real bad for Pokerroom on my sites if there’s another no download poker room somewhere – with their current new deal anyhow. if they ever decide to treat us fairly then I’ll continue to send them the trickle they’ve received in the past and who knows? maybe even see about giving them some better spots.
Until then, however, they will have to set on the bench while other poker rooms that don’t require any monthly minimums, will get the lion’s share of things.
March 25, 2005 at 6:27 am #663396AnonymousGuestPS.
I hope they hurry to make their decisions, because so far I have only taken down a few links and one review.
What comes down doesn’t go back up any time soon unless it was a money maker to begin with; and that surely isn’t the case here.
March 30, 2005 at 5:00 am #663599AnonymousGuestHi again all.
well its been 4 days and no response.
before I go, I wanted to post something someone else had stated in another thread.
since i don’t have their permission, I won’t say where the quote came from, but since its so general, I thought they’d not mind if I borrowed it
With all this and the PokerRoom.com situation it is hard to know who to promote as #1.
so if PR thinks this isn’t a big issue with us; they should think again.
And if they think their affiliates aren’t important, then I suggest they take a look at the situation with captain cooks casinos; who were once argueably one of the top ten casinos on the net. They didn’t treat their affiliates right because they thought they had surpassed the need for them, because they had already been exposed to the majority of our player bases.
They were wrong.
when people stop seeing your site being advertised, they begin to think something is wrong.
Those are the words written to me by people asking if CCooks was still safe to play at.
April 7, 2005 at 10:16 pm #663913AnonymousGuestIf this is the kind of partnership I can expect from PR, then I give up.
Here’s what I am posting on my sites as I go thru and update.
The management has proven to be unreasonable to work with; therefore I suggest finding a different poker room listed on this site.
