Well today when I was visiting Party Poker after click on my own link
I got a java pop-up script when exitig party poker site:“click OK to get $200 FREE* at PlanetLuck Casino Online”
What is this all about?:nono:
February 28, 2005 at 12:12 pm #662113vladcizsolMemberSounds like cross marketing. Lets ask Satya down in his forum if this is being done at Party Poker when you exit.
February 28, 2005 at 4:54 pm #662126AnonymousInactivePlanetluck.com is the sister site of PartyPoker.com and we do cross promote across our brands. Our affiliates have the option of promoting all iGlobalmedia brands and redirecting their exit traffic to their own trackers for our iGlobalMedia brands.
Affiliates who don’t want entry/exit pop ups on their trackers can get a no pop up landing page.
However for this to happen, your account manager has to be aware of your wishes. Account managers are assigned to all affiliates to fulfill requirements and resolve issues. Get in touch with your account manager and I am sure he or she will be able to help you.
Hope this clarifies.
Thanks,

I bet a lot of affiliates weren’t aware they had this option.February 28, 2005 at 11:54 pm #662145AnonymousGuestHi,
how do we find out who our accounts manager is?
thanks

Perhaps the default action should be in favour of the affiliate rather than against them. That is, the popup works as a cross referral for us and if we don’t want it then we can use the no popup option.
Just seems a bit devious to me that unless we contact the affiliate manager (which implies we must know about the options) to ensure we are receiving the proper credit.

You just have to inform your account manager regarding your casino trackers to which you want to redirect your exit traffic. They will take care of it.Steve,
Your account managers must be in regular touch with you. Have a look at your e-mails. If you still are not able to locate them, drop an e-mail to [email protected] with your tracker IDs and the WM ID. They will redirect your query to your account manager.Hope this clarifies.
Thanks,

Thanks for contributing here in the forum. I think another issue that should be confronted is the new sub-affiliate tracking code. The old sub-affiliate links no longer work for any affiliates. Below is how the old link looks and if you look around, most webmasters are still using this code:
(note httd is http, but didn’t want it to hyperlink)
httd://www.partypoker.com/affiliates/sign_up_form.htm?MASTERWEBMASTERID=XXXXXXX
Now here’s the tricky part, no matter what the affiliate code is (XXXXXXX), every single link gets rerouted to the following. httd://www.partypoker.com/index.htm?wm=2238044
Is this another affiliate or an internal account? To my knowledge none of us ever received notification that the sub-affiliate links were changing, nor is it listed anywhere in the affiliate area. I am certain I lost subs during this time that I was was unaware of the situation. This is a real :Pisser: as I was trying to build my sub-affiliate business.
I feel this should be addressed as many affiliates are still using the old code and unaware of this. And whoever is affiliate 2238044 is getting the redirect from the old link, (somebody is getting alot of subs)
As an F.Y.I. to my fellow Party poker affiliates, your new sub-affilliate code should look like this:
httd://mis.iglobalmedia.com/affiliates/create-child-ben.htm?LID=XXXXXXX
March 3, 2005 at 12:00 am #662271AnonymousInactiveSatya, thanks for advising how to get it done, however, I think you missed my point. Affiliates should automatically get the cross referral opportunity and contact the manager if we wish to opt out of it, rather than having to contact the manager to opt in. Unless it is me that is not understanding things…
