Boy, I can hardly wait! This is going to be a great Spring break. I have always wanted to stay at the Loews, in terms of size and overall amenities its got to be one of the best South Beach properties and a huge step up from previous venues.
I look forward to seeing all my friends and CAP family in Miami!

What name do I check under when I call Loew’s? They were unable to find anything under CAP or your name. Also, were you able to get the price down to $179 a night?
Thanks,
Frank
February 22, 2005 at 4:03 pm #661931vladcizsolMemberHello Frank
Go ahead and register direct with the Loews. I will be arriving on the 16th with the rest of the CAP staff. We decided against booking a block of rooms because we could not get favorable terms, yes the rates would have been better at $179 a night, but we would have had to put up nearly $30,000 in deposits which we didnt have in the budget. The last two years we have had everyone book their rooms direct with the hotel for our Miami events and thats the format we are following again this year.
February 22, 2005 at 4:31 pm #661934vladcizsolMemberI checked Orbitz, Hotels.com and Travelocity. I got the best rate at Travelocity and and am paying a flat rate of $289 a night for a Premium King Room, Guaranteed Ocean View, Private Balcony with High Speed Internet Access. There were several less costly rooms too and they started at $249 a night.
Even though this is a large hotel I recommend everyone book early to get the best rooms at the best rates.

Looks like La Cucaracha hotel for me then. That’s where I belong anyway.

A private balcony is worth $40 to me any day. Didn’t know they had them.
Frank, I doubt you will find a Cocharocha Hotel in South Beach. But – try the Hotel Ocean. It is more reasonable, has the best room service I ever had, and sits on top of one of the best restaurants.
