Did anyone else notice the small print on the PokerRoom affiliate agreement? You only get paid revenue share for the first 3 years of the players account. After 3 years, you get nothing. Most other poker sites offer revenue share for the lifetime of the account.

See the affiliate agreement:
http://www.pokerroom.com/main/page/affiliates/terms“5.5. The Referral Percentage will be paid out for a maximum of 3 years for each player. This is calculated from the players first deposit date.”

I am happily minding my own bussiness thinking everything is fine and getting ready to enjoy my weekend and somebody out of the blue goes and actually READS the T&C’s and tells us about it… Now I have to start a fight. :sarcasm:
Thanks for the heads up AceKicker!
That really sucks and I know it is our responsibilty to read the T&C’s.. but still sucks… Think I will be giving other rooms more exposure (who actually do pay for the life of the player)
February 25, 2005 at 3:55 pm #662018AnonymousInactiveIs the matter about paying for casino games resolved yet?

As I add additional players to the bottom of the list .. the players at the top of the list are dropping off.
Kind of pointless to continue promoting them. :rasberry:
Thanks for pointing this out AceKicker.

It’s too bad because I think Pokerroom is one of the better places to play poker. I think they could be one of the top poker rooms if they didn’t “nickel-and-dime” their affiliates to death. I know of many super affiliates that won’t promote them because:
1) they don’t pay affiliates for tournament rake.
2) they don’t pay affiliates for casino earnings.
3) their crappy 3 year clause.
Hopefully they fix their act soon. Sad…they COULD be one the best. Like I said, I really like their site. When I recommend them to my players, I really do mean it. But instead they’ll probably lose market share. I still continue to promote them because I like their site and the affiliates manager says that the new program coming in April will be better. If not, there are hundreds of other poker rooms to promote.
