Hello I am a “newb” in the process of designing my site and am curious about adding “Direct Download” links.
If I give my visitor a direct link to the .exe file, that many of the referral programs offer, how is there any referral tracking when they decide to signup?
At least if I refer them to the site, my “ref code” is embedded in the link or the cookie… but if I give them the ability to download the software with a link like this:
http://www.datablade.com/cgi-bin/software.html/2158120/InterCasino Installer.exe
How does the sponsoring casino track my visitor when they signup? :notify:

Your “ref code” would also be embedded in a direct download link as well.
