I got an email today to several of my sites with a subject line as follows …
Subject: No reciprocal link found! – 1st warning
WHO the fu*k does he think he is? 1st warning? :laughing:
First and foremost KEEP your Fn’ bots of my sites! Link checking bots need to be killed – I am sick and tired of seeing them pound my servers. Secondly, if you want me to exchange links then dont send me emails with a threatening tone – especially when its your FIRST request !!!!

IF any one has a comprehensive list of linkchecker robot names which do adhere to robots.txt let me know – paleeeaaaazzzze
I think it’s almost a year ago I had a bunch of these! Iwould get some 5 or 6 “warnings” a day , from someone I didn’t know and I certainly had not agreed to switch links with. It went on for a few months, I never replied. It stopped all of a sudden. Haven’t gotten a “warning” since.
I got the same email. Thought about replying with something witty and urbane, then decided to just delete it and get back to work.
I get that crap from Roy Sheldon a lot.

The email was irritating, but the fact that it was his first request sent me over the top LMAO – that any my COLTS just got their asses kicked so I was in a bad mood when I saw it.
I’ve had the same experience as Dom with R.Sheldon. Getting 6 or 7 e-mails a week telling me my links were going to be taken down. Mark his e-mail addresses as :spam: and save yourself the displeasure of deleting his e-mails for the next 3-4 months.
Hey, he gave me my 2nd warning yesterday. He might want to ask me to link with him before he gives warnings :dafingers

Fergie it’s just a suspicion but the emails tend to follow the same process and the sites are always crappy ones running the same linking script. The pages usually have a bit of content like a press release from years ago and then hundreds of links on either side of the page.
