Just finished, local promotion?

Hi, I’m new to this site, it seems like everyones really helpful so I thought I’d ask for your opinions. I have just finish (I want to add a couple more exchanges) my first site ever, I can’t think of anything of real importance left to add, can you? Have people promoted their sites around their home town? If so how did you do so? Any tips on promoting on the web would be great too.
