I just registred PartyPokerFAQ.com and was planing to make a
site dedicated to players questions regarding Party Poker. Will this work or not?
I hope I can get new signups to party poker if my surfer get some
extra info on how to play on party poker and how it all works.October 15, 2004 at 11:00 pm #656339AnonymousInactiveI think it’s a great idea! I have a suspicion that FAQ’s do well in the search engines…
VERY cool idea. Would love to know more about what you have planned for it…
October 15, 2004 at 11:03 pm #656340AnonymousGuestIMHO start a site about problems with a certain casino; and you’ll become their unofficial, unpaid, customer support team.
And anybody doing searches to complain / comment about a particular program will almost certainly be already signed up there.

The PP has it’s own support and FAQ so why should you do it? In SE point of view you could perhaps get an advantage as you could use a lot of material that surely attracts SE:s, but doesnt that same material float the web and I would be carefull when making claims on behalf of PP – That is if you are going to be featuring the rules and such on the FAQ – And thats what the FAQ is for – right? Now I would make it as more general type of poker directory/dictionary/help/guide that serves all poker players, but perhaps concentrates the marketing to PP.

It wouldn’t have converted if everyone searching for the phrase wanted to complain or deal with customer support.
The guy who’s sitting at #1 on Google for a search for the phrase “party poker” has designed an entire site themed around Party Poker. I don’t know, but I have a strong suspicion he’s doing very well.
The main difficulty you’re going to have is competition for the phrase. It’s a highly competitive term.

connect to more party poker player.
And I hope my visitors will make some of my site content.October 16, 2004 at 4:55 pm #656360AnonymousGuestused to run ads on Google Adwords for the keyword phrase “party poker”. Not only did it get lots of traffic, but it converted like MAD
Party Poker I agree
planing to make a
site dedicated to players questions regarding Party Poker.Party Poker FAQ’s; which is to my understanding what he’s intending to target: I would have to disagree.
October 16, 2004 at 5:12 pm #656362AnonymousInactiveHi all,
I was wondering what kind of content you plan to have on the site.
If it is directed at PP players then there is a limit to the ammount of stuff you will be able to have on there that actually will help them . Party poker have their own FAQ and information and 24 hours help, etc… what will make your service any better?
Also if you target market it party poker players then they will already have an account and you wont manage to get lucky.
the one way i see you maybe making it is to feed off of the success of party pokers own advertising… so that when a new player does a search for party poker then they come to your site and just use it as a gateway to party poker rather then an information site.
If someone searches for party poker then chances are that they already know wot they want.
Good luck
Bart
October 16, 2004 at 11:30 pm #656376AnonymousInactiveI find that alot of people will hear someone else say “XYZ Casino is really good”. Then the potential player will search “XYZ Casino” in the search engines in the hope of finding more information on it. The same would go for PP.
If your going to make the site target “party poker” or “online party poker” or something similar.

I tried to read your messages in the Party Poker Player’s FAQ, but it says that it’s restricted to moderators only.
