Happened to be channel surfing when I seen Phil Gordon – Celebrity Poker Host and Poker Pro … so I decided to watch for awhile.
Then they started talking about legalizing online gambing and talking about the evil ashcroft etc … The main proponent was Wayne Allen Root a sports handicapper, but even phil was hammring on the regulation band wagon. Its always good to see this topic talked about in a public arena.
You may have seen it – I believe this particular program originally aired last month (9/24)
It came up on one of the Sunday Network Political Discussions – some0ne was complaining about the attachment to the homeland security bill and unfortunately I tuned in too late and just caught the end of the discussion – blasting the attempt to include something as unrelated as online gambling in the bill.
There is starting to be some awareness out there…
Poker is so popular now, it’s going to turn the tide for us.
Poker supplies are the big thing in retail – even Wallmart is branding their own poker accessories.
Poker is the hottest thing on TV.
Poker is growing exponentially online.
I am convinced that the growing public awareness through the popularity of poker is going to be a very good thing for the online gambling industry as a whole.
