I know java can be beaten easily by a decent webmaster.
What I don’t know is how to do this correctly, and if I encrypt my code, does that affect SEO?
Even is I do encrypt successfully, will that stop the theft of my videos?
Anyone with tech knowlede, can you please tell me how to stop others from downloading and/or serving my videos from my Integrity Casino Guide site?
Thanks in advance….

is the view source code blocked.
That’s not my site but maybe they can help you.

That’s a very effective right click block… I appreciate you letting me know… I sent them an email =0)
October 15, 2004 at 6:27 pm #656303AnonymousInactivehttp://www.1-internet-casinos-online-gambling-online-casino-gambling-atlas.com/ has just blocked the right click function (not view source).
You can still view the source by clicking on View -> Source.
Unless you have a site you are extremely concerned about being copied I would tend to stay away from removing the view source function in-case this affects your SEO listing on some search engines.
Blocking the right click function is fine, and stops the simple cut and paste at a basic level.
October 15, 2004 at 7:06 pm #656310AnonymousInactiveI am less concerned about the source.
My real concern is un-authorized downloading and/or serving my videos from my site.
How do I stop that?
October 15, 2004 at 7:26 pm #656314AnonymousGuestCheck it out with your host.
They should have some protection utilities that will prevent others from serving things from your site.October 15, 2004 at 8:17 pm #656321AnonymousInactiveYes – contact your host about preventing hotlinking if people are actually serving your videos from your server on their sites – eg stealing bandwidth.
If people are saving your videos to their own harddisk and then reusing them – their isnt much you can do other than have your laywer send them a c+d letter.
ANYthing can be had by those who know how or want it bad enough to get it.

I will be contacting my host on Monday =0)
October 15, 2004 at 9:06 pm #656332AnonymousInactiveIt wont stop hot linking but if you imbed your videos in flash it would stop the save as function
BradOctober 15, 2004 at 9:23 pm #656335AnonymousInactiveYea that’s what I was thinking…
Problem is these videos are so big, the best way to save them was .wmv
Now that’s all I have =0(
I’m gonna have my programmer put in some php to stop the hot links and see if we can’t figure a way to stop the downloads….
October 15, 2004 at 9:33 pm #656336AnonymousInactiveflash used to be protected – not anymore … now there are plenty of capture and reverse engineering softwares readily available.
October 15, 2004 at 10:02 pm #656337AnonymousInactiveIt’s getting to where I can’t even create unique content anymore without worrying about others using it at their whim…
October 15, 2004 at 10:50 pm #656338AnonymousInactiveThanks Arkyt
Didn’t know that
