    Can anybody help please?

Clicking on the links in IE doesn’t work no more.
    The links don’t open.

I’ve tried a virus scan, Pest Patrol and adaware but nothing helps.

Maybe anybody had this problem and knows a solution.

    Can you be more specific?

The first thing that comes to mind is clearing IE’s cache. That’s under Tools / Internet Options / Delete Files. I’ve seen funny things cured by that.

One that many affiliates probably see is this one: If you right click on a picture or banner to save it, and only get the option to save it as a BMP file, it’s time to clear the IE cache. This almost always fixes this problem.

I’ve cleared the cache but that doesn’t help.

If I am clicking on a link of a website IE stops working.
    Nothing is clickable no more.

    1. Restart computer (if you haven’t already done so).

    2. Do you have any kind of pop-up blocker running?

    3. What OS are you using? You may just have to “repair” IE.

    4. Check for any windows updates, especially if you’re running Windows XP.

    5. Try this: Go to Start /Run Type in: regsvr32 urlmon.dll , click “ok”

When you receive the DllRegisterServer in urlmon.dll succeeded message, click OK. Restart computer.

Actually, skip the first 4, and – starting at #5 do this:

    assuming you’re using IE 6.0.

    Start–>Run–>regsvr32 urlmon.dll
    Start–>Run–>regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll
    Start–>Run–>regsvr32 Msjava.dll
    Start–>Run–>regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
    Start–>Run–>regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
    Start–>Run–>regsvr32 Mshtml.dll
    Start–>Run–>regsvr32 Browseui.dll
    Start–>Run–>regsvr32 Shell32.dll

go through each until the browser is workin –

Since yesterday my browser is working again.
    Hopefully IE keeps working.

Not sure what it has repaired.

I typed some of the commands Fergie said, made another scan with Lavasoft,…

    Thank you to everybody.
