I’ve read so much about SEs.
My site’s are pretty SE optimized.Nevertheless my sites only get very little traffic. Sometimes 0 visitors.
What’s the problem?
August 21, 2004 at 10:39 am #653724AnonymousInactiveIt could be lots of things.
What keywords are you targetting? Some keywords get 0 traffic, others get hundreds per day. But keep in mind the more traffic a keyword gets the more competition there is for that keyword. If your new DON’T try to rank top10 for “online casino”, “online casinos” or “online gambling”.
If your sites aren’t ranking well the only thing that can boost them (assuming they’re optimized correctly) are more and more links. IMO quality links are the only thing that can theoretically boost your site infanantly.

What does IMO stand for?
How do I know if links are quality?August 22, 2004 at 6:04 am #653746AnonymousInactiveyou can use link swapper http://www.link-swapper.com, this automated link exchange plug in is free and you can have him automaticly protect you from linking to banned sites

Here’s how to get quality links. First take into consideration that there are two types of links. PageRank links and Ranking links.
PageRank Links are links from any type of site just to build up your PageRank. They don’t have to be part of any specific category. Generally I like to aim for PR4+ of these types of links, but you don’t have to be picky with them at all.
Ranking Links are links solely devoted to get you higher rankings in Google and other engines. Since in Google, linking is still king, you’ll want sites with relevant and similar content to yours link back. These are sites that would fit directly into your category, or maybe one up, if you don’t want to deal with competitors.
From a linking and ranking standpoint, I’d recommend you use both options, but try to focus more on the Ranking option than the PageRank one, because the more relevant links pointing to you, the better.
Hope this helps.
