Have any other affilates had chargeback problems with Captain Cooks? I have been hit hard with chargebacks in consecutive months with chargebacks of the SAME amounts. Seems questionable to me. Also, my April and May stats were reversed (and later corrected) which made me more suspicious. They have been NO help. Doing their best to avoid me. Also, in 2001 they had some chargebacks from a player and allowed the player to continue to play the months FOLLOWING the supposed chargeback. Anyone with similar problems?
June 4, 2004 at 6:20 pm #650116vladcizsolMemberI have always done well with them and havent had any real problems. They arent active on the forums though, so I don’t know how much help we can be.
Antoine maintains a close working relationship with Integrity Casinos perhaps he can shed some light on your concerns with them.
June 4, 2004 at 8:16 pm #650118AnonymousGuestI think they suck and would advise people to stay away.
my 2 cents

Any thoughts Antoine?

Ain’t that the truth.
Actually, if I were to unburden myself here, I would have a thing or ten to say about Casino Rewards. I like Brent, but………..
I’ll save it for another day, another thread.I have never done much with Integrity group because they seem to attract a lot of free players. Recently though I have started to give them more exposure again – we’ll see what gives.
At no time have I found them to not be completely above board though.
Spears also has a relationship with Peter and may be of assistance.
June 5, 2004 at 8:58 pm #650157AnonymousInactiveIn my short yeart of affiliate work I have had a fairly good turnover with CCC and CK casinos and anytime I have needed help Carly was pretty fast about getting it done.

June 5, 2004 at 9:53 pm #650161AnonymousInactiveI sent a simple payment related question to CCC 3 months ago, and the only answer I ever got was that they were looking into it.
Affiliate support doesn’t seem to be their strongest side.
June 5, 2004 at 11:08 pm #650166AnonymousInactiveI don’t think Peter is involved any longer. Carly is handling affiliates and she is not nearly as responsive as Peter.
As for them being above board. Well, how can they explain allowing a player to chargeback AND continue playing? This happened back in 01.
Also, they can’t explain to me how or why I am hit with a $1700 chargeback in TWO consectutive months from the same player. Basically they told me chargebacks happen and I have to accept it.
Correct me if I am wrong but wouldn’t that mean the player would have to dispute a charge on his/her account as a fraudulent charge in 2 consectutive months, at the same casino? I have asked CC but they won’t respond.

I don’t see how.
June 6, 2004 at 5:37 pm #650195AnonymousGuestI’m not too thrilled with CR’s performance lately either.
as for cooks, they speak for themselves. In fact, I remember not too long ago the Prof was having trouble with them.
I stand by what I said.
but don’t take my word for it. put them up and see for yourselves. I feel confident more people will find them dis-satisfactory than the opposite.
I’m glad to hear Peter is gone however. That is step in the right direction. He was nice, but he was just there to string you along.
June 6, 2004 at 6:12 pm #650200AnonymousGuestHi again,
just to clear something up. I have a good correspondence with some of my bigger players and I know first hand what is going on and what isn’t.
As I believe it was Aleph that had said he would love to have an honest 10%: I too don’t raise a stink about a program as long as they are half-way treating me right.
You’d be surprised at just how corrupted this industry is – whether from incompetent tracking or greed I cannot say.
If I went after every program that I have known to be inaccurate; I’d have very few programs left to promote.
I’m not out to crucify any program. Quite the contrary. But at the same time its rather hard to accept such blatant BS.
And I’ll give you the best example I can think of.
Look at how fast you jumped out to your current earnings. Then they leveled off. Now why is that?
Why is it, that I jumped out to making $3k or so with a program over 2 years ago, and yet still can’t seem to break out of that bracket – 2 years later?
as long as you’re getting a steady inflow of new faces ie buying traffic or getting SEO traffic, and not all return traffic (bookmarked), then there is no reason why you should level off.
think about it.
June 6, 2004 at 10:22 pm #650215AnonymousGuestHi,
somebody pm’d me about how you get this info.
There are two ways I have found. one is to aggressively advertise for these types; and the most reliable; is to make yourself available to players to help them with a problem they have with a casino;…… that you might not even promote.
Get them their money and they will be life-long reliable resources not too mention loyal surfers to your site.
June 6, 2004 at 10:45 pm #650219AnonymousInactiveReading this about CC gets me worried. I’ve been promoting them for 6 months or so with good results. I made a good few K in May with about 3 nice players.
What started worrying me was that I picked up my last download by about the 19th of the month. I sent them another 300-odd good quality clicks. But, nada, niks, zilch. Now sure, this can happen but the interesting thing was that the players dried up once my balance shot up…. (which it did from $500 odd to about 4K).
Its been buggin’ me – now as I read this thread it’s buggin’ the heck out of me.
Getting hold of these people is a nightmare. I actually happened to send them an ultimatum 10 minutes before I read this thread….
Oh and get this, after about 3 whining emails I get a short response that they are working on a new conversion strategy as conversions have gone down of late. Hmmmmm…..conveniently so?
June 7, 2004 at 12:58 am #650226AnonymousGuestlong after I’d had my bouts with Peter; and had basically for all practical purposes, had stopped sending them any traffic; ( If I get a program that I think is cheating me, but that I’ve already got players signed up to; I send them crappy traffic to replace the otherwise good traffic so they don’t yank what measly money I am making with them), so I was sending about 20 – 30 hits a month of crap
and anyway, it had been about 6 month’s or a year since I’d seen any kind of income at all with CC, but I check my stats periodically, and especially right before the month’s end. Here’s a good reason for doing so;
it turned out that one of my players had came in that month and lost ….I can’t remember now…. it was either $230 or $460, anyway, so I was happy about that.
the next day (the 1st) I go back and check my stats and guess what? my income had vanished.
Now here’s my take on it.
Because I hadn’t had any activity in my account for about 6 month’s time, nobody bothered to check it thru the month in order to shave it.
Or they were just lazy figuring that I hadn’t been in to check it in month’s, why worry about it?
in any case, when it came time to sit down and figure out who earned money, it was then they noticed I had earnings.
so at that point, my earnings were erased.
That is the most reasonable logic I have been able to arrive at this.
Peter gave me some BS that was so stupid. Something like, we’ve got it on our stats, its just your stats that it isn’t showing up. Ya right! funny it showed up before with no problem.
now having said all that; if you’ve got a program that you are making money with; and its decent earnings, then you are wise to give it serious consideration before you chuck it out the window.
some programs make money for some of us, while others do not.
