InactiveNobody here gets why the dance began ehh ????
LOL the new moon is coming. The moon is waning now and when it has faded to the new moon the google dance will end and the serp’s will all stick !!!! I thought some of you would have known that ??? Its the legend of the google dance, all things come around, no worries there will be different algorythms, but the listings will have changed. If google starts dancing it always ends on the new moon, it started preparing around the time of the lunar eclipse and I think that signaled for a major dance party this period. I watched the eclipse two weekends ago and was waiting for this to happen !!!!
:bouncer: :clapper: :roflmao: :woo-hoo: :burnafatt :la-de-da:
Play that funky music white boy !!!

Hear what I have to say
Just like children sleepin’
We could dream this night away. But there’s a full moon risin’
Let’s go dancin’ in the light
We know where the music’s playin’
Let’s go out and feel the night.Because I’m still in love with you
I want to see you dance again
Because I’m still in love with you
On this harvest moon. When we were strangers
I watched you from afar
When we were lovers
I loved you with all my heart. But now it’s gettin’ late
And the moon is climbin’ high
I want to celebrate
See it shinin’ in your eye.Because I’m still in love with you
I want to see you dance again
Because I’m still in love with you
On this harvest moon.November 17, 2003 at 5:38 pm #641678Anonymous

InactiveLOL
its all true though …. The google dance is dictated by astrological happenings, many presidents, leaders, dictators etc … have ran things according to astrological occurences. Same holds true with the people behind google. I have watched and discussed this with many other seo’s in the last 3.5 years …
Major dances concur with lunar schedules, and end about the time of a new moon. Have you ever been to a full moon party in Sint Marteen ??? Good times, great beach party! Best boiled lobster and steamed shellfish I ever ate. The beer and rum flows and there is always a big old cloud of smoke ; ) Last time I think it was following me LOL …..
Seriously just watch, the new algorythm will hold steady when the new moon is in place.

Inactivepersonally I dont think this is a new algorithm, I think their displaying temporary results based on a previous database.
They may have made some tweaks to it, but the results are not showing yet. Give it a couple more days and you will see the SERPs change
… Course thats only if theres no shifts in the universe heh!

InactiveWell you are close …
that is how they decide and judge the new algo, they use old database new database combine them etc … But a new algo is any tweak as it changes ranking… hey did’nt I just say something like that in my post ??? hhhahaha The new moon is just about the time the algorythm holds steady
thus a new algo, the reason for the multiple databases is to check out if they have some spam patterns that are coming to the top. But all and all any change results in a new algorythm …. maybe it gives higher credit for more outgoing links, and a larger amount of keywords, maybe for larger pages, maybe more incoming links, any change whatsoever results in a new algorythm as the algorythm is any change in judgement that decides the results.
Round and round it goes where it stops nobody knows.
Actually I did not drink the blood Ark I took a bite out of the still warm heart after I pulled it from the cooling corpse … Maybe a little lead poisoning …. ; )

Inactiveheh sure you can pay my green fees at the first annual profs golf outing this coming July of was it in June ??? LOL
Yes each subsequent tweak I reckon could be considered an entire new algorithm.
Ahh Old Fred Bear would be proud of you.
I was gonna say 1-2 days, but I reckon 6 is a possibility.

InactiveWell,
a buck a hole after that ??? whats your handicap ??? hahahah
New moon on the 23rd hahaha I gotta start butchering that sucker … I would guess the top results are still cloaked. There are a few that are not though … I am working on that algo still but one thing is that all the databases that are live are matched the same right now. sometimes they rotate but not right now … You are right about that part that it could be old result database, but that could be a test algo also … on a old database … My old scripts are not working anymore it made it much easier when they showed me better comparisons …. I need to dig out the source files of the scripts and edit them damn I got to much work to do latley …

Inactive12 – buck a hole is fine with me with carry overs. Gotta also have a closest to pin and longest drive competition.
yah Im fairly confident its a old database backup … I see several sites that are in the directory not showing the directory structure as they normally do. These sites were put in the directory within the last 6-9 months, so that tells me these SERPS are prolly some sort of compilation of some pretty ancient serps heh!
Ive been watching all the datacenters as well
sucks in just the last few days seen quite a decrease in SE generated traffic!

InactiveGoogle is on the move again in a mad way.
I was just going to check on some other site – when I noticed that my ranking for a keyphrase had gone up 100 places…
When I checked again about 15 minutes later, it had gone up another 10… then 5 minutes later down 1.
I have the feeling there has been some major change in the algo, and/or they are issuing some major penalties somewhere.

InactiveYah,
things are moving around like mad …. I still bet it stops on or after the 23rd hahahha I bet Ark it will hahahaha The new moon starts on 23rd hahaha always for major changes after lunar happenings and stops then on a new moon !!!!
Superstition maybe, what I have seen in past, its just a fact they always do this …..

Inactiveyah I had figured it would be over by tonight – maybe you were correct.
Either way it does appear as spear pointed out that a lot of us are going to be pretty upset when it settles down. It appears the new algo is tossing out some pretty intense penalties. Some that make absolutely no sense at all.
Im sure your already seeing sites like amazon.com coming up for a lot of searches – commercial sites like this seem to be floating to the tops of the SERPs once again.
I will wait till the 23rd now and hope big ole G changes their mind and sets the algo back heh! :p

InactiveI don’t honestly know what it is.
However, I can tell you this:
1. The site has NEVER ranked anywhere near this high in its 3.5 year history for that keyphrase. Mostly, it’s not been ranked at all LOL.
2. I did NOT do any optimization in the past few months that I can recall, and besides we get spidered daily. Also, I didn’t do any significant SEO-type optimization. There are a lot of things that need fixing.
3. I will be able to tell a bit more when my newer site gets crawled/updated… because I worked hard on optimizing that site. So either I should see a further rise… or a fall – now just waiting for the dice to be rolled.
But right now if things continue in the direction they are going, I can only be happy
