With everyone going on, and skilled gaming looking the way of the future, are any of you promoting skilled gaming and do you know any affiliate programs that is just for skilled gaming.

I had a look at WorldWinner.com but they did not appear to have an affiliate program.

    Any thoughts on this?

I was promoting worldwinner for a while… it’s next to impossible to make money. I also tried playing at worldwinner, while i liked the games i found the fees to be too high. My memory might be wrong since i played over a year ago…

But if you gamble $.50 and lose you lose all of it. If you win, you get $0.75. Assuming you win an even 50% of the games you play you still lose a lot of money! I do like the concept, but i think the fees should be more reasonable such as the rates set for rake in poker.

This is an interesting topic and it raises some questions:

Are they too niche oriented to produce significant revenues unless you built a portal targeted at game players?Could they be added to exisiting casino portals with any degree of success?

Would there be a potential problem with the games appealing to minors? How do providers screen out minors presently? Do the games appeal to adults and would adults spend money playing them at any sort of level that would be considered profitable?

Are skilled games coded as gambling transactions? Are they subject to the same banking difficulties we see at online gambling?

Does anyone know if skilled games are available as free content by an affiliate program?

This is a very niche market and talking from a merchant view point it requires a lot of players to make it work. The transactions will not be coded as gambling as it is subscription based and has an element of skill.

From my understanding at present they have few limitations in banking and not subject to the same scruitiny as gambling sites.

On the downside as an affiliate each player will bring in only a few bucks, but the idea is to recruit many to make big bucks.

This could be the future of onine gaming and that is why I am looking into this avenue.

    It is also very untapped.

I have been doing skill games for a couple of years. I have never advertised them at all, nor directed traffic there at all.

I make little money – not surprisingly.

I have decided though to give this some attention soon.

I have some more I am negotiating with.

    Dominique,

Just looked at your site and noticed you are really aiming at the US market with all the American flags (is this wise?).

You will see some major changes at gamesandcasino very soon – perhaps as early as next week.

gamesandcasino is going skill game and non gambling entirely.

I am not leaving the gaming industry though – there is the pending launch of http://www.virtualgamingconference.com (still under construction)

    Well let’s see.

    Games of skill and chance…

    Pay to play…

    Prizes given…

    Sounds like…GAMBLING to me…

These will eventually be challenged in court also.

Not so sure Rick … games of skill are not subject to the whims
of Lady Chance … unless the governement decides
to suddenly become addicted to games of skill as it
has become addicted to gambling revenues.

Whereas with a person, gambling can become a
serious problem, the government is looking at
it more and more as a serious solution.

    Hi,

Personally i believe it to be naive that the government will allow games of skill to continue if they make gambling illegal. They could care less about the technical arguments related to games of skill, as those same arguments would enable poker to be legalized. Unless Disney or a large corporation releases a games of skill website, i think we’re out of luck. They could care less how many people they hurt, and how many people lose thier jobs, for them it’s all about milking people for all thier worth.

As for the worldwinner affiliate program try accessing this website: http://www.worldwinner.com

Dom i take it you’ll be launching a gaming conference soon?

Actually, the http://www.virtualgamingconference.com is online now but not launched.

It is just a portal for the industry – I hope to have complete listings in there.

I am, however, working on a quickie legal summit for affiliates and programs. I have the agenda, now need the venue. Keep an eye out for further notices. :D
