Hi everyone

Just dropping a quick question here to see, if anyone else is going through yet another rough patch with Google? It’s not that they ever sit still, but it’s turning out their update from the 4th of July (or round that time) is starting to take my skin off, even on solid sites, where aggressive link building is a no go and original content rules (-20 to -30 drops). Sorry, but at times it seems that original content is making f*** all difference.

Anyone else seeing the impact this month?

Thanks all

Rankings are bouncy, traffic is up slightly, different matches… somethings happening. I see other “staple” sites fluctuating as well. ..somethings happening, not sure what. Feels ocean like to me. Wavy gravy.

yes its crazy <span title=” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />

Definitely not a time to be buying a site cause before you know it traffic is gone.

Yes 4 of my unique relevant original content pages dropped off the radar! No idea what or why:notify:

:turn:Was such a big update that many tools for seeing what terms are landing are not even working correctly…

If you use jetpack for WordPress, don’t panic, it is only just now starting to report contextual landings for results pages.

Also try using the jetpacklite version if you do not utilize jetpack’s other features I find kinda bland. It is a process hog and adds time to your loading, but the lite version is super light, fast, and delivers real time data.

I’m still working building my site, although I managed to rank on first positions for some of the brands I’m promoting. All suddenly all my rankings dropped from 3-10 to 100+. I thought it was because I had a problem with the sitemap but since I’m new on this I have no idea whats going on. I’m not working on back linking strongly because I’m still generating content and was testing some plugins.

I don’t think the back links are affecting my site negatively cause I still dont have so many… and all my content is unique… do you think my drop can be related to the error on the sitemap (which was empty for a couple of days)?

I don’t think Google got this Panda update entirely right.

Let’s take a stupid example. If you type in Quasar Gaming Casino review you’ll note that some of the sites on the first and second pages for this casino review are utter nonsense. When you click on some of them it says: ”Page not found”.

I’m beginning to doubt if G really values sites with quality content. It seems its algo has the complete opposite effect.

I’ve seen significant changes in the rankings of one of my sites, but it’s probably because of something that I’ve done, like cleaning up my link profile.
