front page shared borders

asked 4 years ago
Hi all and thank you for your replies,

I’ve heard conflicting reports: can anybody say for certain how search engines (google most important of course) view having your navigation on the shared borders?

it makes sense to me since you’d want to have navigation on every page but I thought I’d ask.

there is also some sort of navigation feature in front page which i think they call the navigation bar …I have never used it but would be curious as to thoughts about that too?

are those links in the shared border or navigation bar (please answer separately if appropriate) viewed with the same relevance and stature as if I didn’t use the shared border option or the navigation bar and just put it on the page using a table?

ps.

I’m learning css but haven’t figured out how to do much more than effect font across the site so I don’t think using the .css nav menu thingy is yet an option for me.

thanks again

S.
