We’ve learned that Poker Nordica has closed down, for reasons not officially disclosed. As of yesterday, Poker Nordica, which was once the second largest Merge Poker Skin (after Carbon) has closed. Here is the email they sent out to players:
Hi
We unfortunately need to close down Poker Nordica from April 1th 2012!
If you have any funds in your Poker Nordica account, you can visit the URL on the client login screen. This will take you to a page where you can login to the Poker Nordica cashier and request a withdrawal.
Alternatively, if you have another active account within the Merge Network and would like your balance transferred over, please email support@pokernordica.com and give them your alternate account details and they will arrange the transfer.
We wish all our players the best in the future!
Regards,
Poker Nordica
Rumblings on the Web that started back in February suggest that the closing is related to a problem with a January Rakerace, while other speculate that working with Merge was becoming unmanageable.
When Poker Nordica’s brand manager and CEO left the company well over a month ago,
Poker Nordica’s remaining staff was forced to assess the site’s position. Looks like closing the poker room down was the best decision to be made.
More updates to come.
